Skinari

The rooms were as clean as they could possibly be. It's a new building, but the cleanliness doesn't come from its newness; it comes from continuous maintenance, of course. But what surprised us the most was the high quality of materials used in the rooms. In many lodges/hotels/pensions that typically focus on the summer season, a lot of expensive equipments are either ordinary or very old and poorly maintained. However, the owners of Skinari, Maria and Dimitri, spared no expense. Let me give you few examples: Air Conditioning: They chose a top-tier brand's inverter and silent model. We had a hard time hearing the air conditioning when we set it to 23°C throughout the night. Instead of being in a position that blows directly onto the bed and torments you all night, they chose a rather suitable location for the indoor unit. Refrigerator: It's not mini-sized but closer to a medium-sized one, and they selected a very reputable top-tier brand's 4-star (approximately -18°C) freezer-equipped model. It was so useful during the summer that it added extra comfort to our stay. By the way, it was a nice touch to provide ice cube-making bags to make your own ice. Kitchen: They have a kitchen that goes beyond our expectations with a two electric stove, an oven, a mini oven with microwave, a kettle, a filter coffee machine, mini toaster, and almost everything you could expect in a kitchen in terms of plates, dishes, and silverware. It's more than sufficient for simple meals and breakfast. Bathroom: The bathrooms are very nice with a comfortable shower cabin, ergonomic and bidet-equipped toilet, and well-lit and airy spaces. Bed: The bed and pillows were quite ergonomic as well. We didn't wake up with back or neck pain, which we've experienced in many hotels. Balcony: With four chairs and a table, their balconies are spacious and have sufficient seating capacity, offering a view. There is very little contact with adjacent rooms.
