Studios Stratos

A very pleasant, clean, quiet, and friendly family-run set of studios, situated 10 mins walk from the centre of Naxos. We were on a first floor balcony which, to judge from other reviews, was one of the best rooms, in terms of outlook on to the street. You can actually see our room if you go on to the Maroulis Hotel entry on here, as the room in the main photo is where we stayed. Amenities were basic but all in working order. Useful kitchen items included a cappuccino frother and a waffle maker. Not much room to manoeuver on the kitchenette hotplate but good enough for basic self-catering which we did a couple of nights as a break from souvlaki. Angeliki our hostess provided a lifeline when one of us had a dental emergency, for which we were very grateful. If all dentists were as as kind and efficient as the one she put us in touch with, I'd consider travelling to Naxos just for the dental care! It put our much harrassed and time-poor NHS dentists to shame. Nikos met us at the ferry to drive us to the studios. Definitely a place to recommend and to go back to.
