Pension Eleni

We stayed in the top floor suite. No lift in the hotel but we knew that. We also knew there were going to be lots of stairs from the town center to the hotel. If you take a cab or car they can drop you off at a parking lot with fewer stairs. We really liked the location and the feel of the room. We had a balcony and kitchen in the top suite. The shower was fine but not as nice as the rest of the room. We would definitely stay here again. The stairs in the hotel are not friendly for large luggage. Our carry on airline luggage was fine.

Beautiful room with a view of the sea view. Friendly service during checkin. A bit of stairs to climb to reach there but for the location it was well worth it! Highly recommended.

Quaint, clean. There was construction in the neighborhood that started pretty early in the morning, so that was kind of loud. Not a deal-breaker though.

Very cosy place. We had a balcony and sea view. No breakfast but we bought bread in the neighborhood and made tea and coffee in our room and had a wonderful breakfast at the balcony. Should absolutely stay here again. Such a beautiful city and relaxing stay. The only problem was the problem with the front door drawer😅, it was a little bit complicated.

It was exactly what i wanted. Simple hotel, quiet and clean, close to the restaurants and city center.

Very easy check-in.  Room was clean and great location.  Excellent place to stay.

Comfortable room with a view towards the sea.  The sea pool is within walking distance so is Syntagma Square, local tavernas, restaurants and quaint shops. Voula at the desk is very helpful and the owner, dear Ms Eleni helped me hang out my wet swimwear. The pensione is close to the car park, most convenient. I will stay there with pleasure in future. Recommended!

Cosy with sea view

This is a town you need to walk around.  Most of the old town is pedestrian streets only with very limited parking. Once you find a spot, you don't move your car. This lovely hotel is high up on the hill so there was many steps down and up a few times a day. Everything else about this hotel was good and the staff were excellent.

We’ve been to Nafplio many times but had never stayed at Pension Eleni before.  It is up the hill, with a car park nearby.  The view is spectacular.  It has steps but is easily accessible by walking.  The photos of the room online are very accurate.  Everything was perfect.  I can’t say enough good things.  We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

This is a small, friendly family run place in traditional style. I stayed in a room with a great sea view. The area is high on the hill so be prepared to climb several steep stairs.The room was comfortable and had a kettle, and coffee and tea were provided. As well as water and some Greek cookies.It was a pleasant stay with the incredible Greek hospitality.

Cozy pension with stunning view

My husband and I travelled for two weeks in Greece in May of 2016. I can honestly say this was the most memorable place we stayed. I say this because of Eleni herself. She greeted us so warmly and gave us a tour of our room. We had a great and cute interaction with her. When we left she ran after us to make sure we had a good stay. She gave us each a warm hug. I felt as if she were the most beautiful and wonderful grandma that I could ever have. I will always remember her. On a side note the room was wonderful - very clean with a nice view. Also, there was a small continental breakfast provided in the room we stayed at.

We showed up at Eleni’s doorstep with no reservation and were instant greeted by Eleni herself. She showed us two rooms, one with a full kitchen and one that was just a hotel room. We chose the second one, which although it did not have a kitchen was still equipped with a refrigerator and a cupboard. Inside the fridge and cupboard was a complimentary breakfast, which was basic but for the price of the room and it being free, we did not expect anything extravagant. 

Bed was comfortable and big, shower had hot water and really good pressure. Two towels each were in the room when we arrived. Aircon is installed and free to use, which was nice. 

The view from the balcony is truly amazing.

Pension Eleni did not accept card payment, but there is an ATM nearby. 

We could easily stay there again!

Great

Location was nice.  the owner Eleni was kind, hospitable, welcoming and gracious and helped us in more ways than one!  The hotel is simple, clean and close to all the lovely walkways with the shops and restaurants.  Very quiet.  I don't think the air conditioning was working in our room - but we were comfortable.

Eleni is a lovely old lady from some story book. She was a delightful presence even though we barely managed to communicate. Her place must also be from a story book, charming, overlooking blue water, close to everything Nafplio has to offer. The breakfast is really poor very unbecoming to Greece culinary practices, but even that does not ruin the charms of Pension Eleni.
