Vazakas Rooms

Second time in Vazakas rooms (first in 2014). Located in the center of Mitylena, Vazakas Rooms is a good place if you like to live like the inhabitants of the town. The Bizaniou street is a narrow street and in the labyrinthine part of the town. Although is it possible to go there by car, it's not so easy, and there is not really a place for the car. Two years ago I find a place for the car 50m from the house, but it was not really a place. The best thing to do is to let the car 100/200m far, because you don't need a car for few days in Mitylena (this year I go there by car, let the luggages and find an easy park 200m away). The Vazakas rooms is a good place because you are at 100 m from the main harbor, from the typical shops, and it is easy to go to the old harbor (epano skala) at the opposite of the town (not far aniway from the new harbor). There are several rooms, ask for a room with town view (the others rooms have a street view). Of course, the kitchen is not very well equiped, but you are in town with so many tavernas and bars, some of them just 100m far (the fridge is ok!). There are so many and wonderfull places in Mitylena for a lunch or breakfast, or diner! The people (an old women, and sometimes the son) are kind, if you need something they are there, and just ask what you need. The women doesn't speak fluent english, but knows enough for a basic conversation, the son speak fluent english. The rooms are clean, the bathrooms ok. Free WIFI !! A good choice for a good price, very well located, typical, what more in this wonderfull Mitylena town.
