After being left stranded by our first hotel. We found this treasure. The owner was so sweet and helpful and always there to help. OMG the beautiful views from the balcony was breathtaking. The rooms are a bit dated, but clean and everything you need. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. Close to the town square and restaurants.

Gerakofolia Guest House was chosen simply because we wanted to be in this area, the room looked good and the price was good.

Knowing there was only public parking, we were a little concerned about the arrangements but all was ok. We arrived and parked in a nearby layby on a bend. Our hostess was waiting for us and showed us to our room. This was a pleasant, old fashioned room with two balconies, the front looking down over the town and the Aoos River valley and the side looked up the road and to the towering mountains, still with snow on.Only complaint was the balconies were a little narrow.

The room had a double bed and a bed settee with some traditional furniture taking up valuable room space. The kitchen was a bit of a joke as the draining rack containing all the kitchenware stood on the sink, next to the hob which meant it all had to be moved to be able to cook!! No problem, a chest of drawers proved the ideal place to stand this!!

The bathroom was good, all tiled, with a shower tray and a hook for the shower.but no window.Plenty of hot water and even central heating that we were grateful for as it was pretty cold during our stay. We also had plenty of bedding.

Niggly points: Only one bedside light.Fly screens broken.Shelf missing from fridge. Broken shutter door handle. External corridor door wouldn't latch.If we had wanted to open the window, shutter, the left hand side would have hit the air con. unit.

These niggles were not reall important during our stay but I guess had it been warmer, the fly screen could have been a nuisance.

Overall, our stay of four days was great, despite it being too cold to sit out much. It's well located, being just out of the town which you can walk into if you are able bodied, as it is on a steep hill.

Konits is a lovely little town in the Epirus mountains, and The hotel is at the top of the town with balconies overlooking stunning views. The room I had with daughter and granddaughter was smallish, but perfectly adequate with small en suite shower and Loo. Spotlessly clean and a friendly owner. Also very reasonable rates. I would stay there again
