Kythera Irida

We stayed 5 nights in the beginning of September. The hotel is immaculately clean throughout. Rooms are cleaned every day. The owner, George is very friendly and helpful. He recommended restaurants for fish, nice beach to visit and ordered us a take away one evening. Other staff were also friendly and attentive. Our room, 201, on the first floor had a good sized balcony with a great view of the sea and the Peloponnese opposite. Room was spacious with small fridge, Air Con and free WiFi, even a mosquito plug in was provided. Bed was comfortable, large and very clean. Bathroom was modern and very clean with toiletries, hairdryer and clean towels daily. Window in the bathroom had a mosquito mesh. Hotel is set on a hill on the road leading into Agia Pelagia. It was a 10-15 minute walk into the centre of Agia Pelagia. A small torch came in useful at night. Ground floor rooms would be accessible from the entrance. Breakfast area was indoors or outdoors and very pleasant with Air Con indoors. There was a good selection of food for breakfast - cereals, toast and jams, selection of pastries including locally made pies and cakes, fresh fruit, boiled and scrambled eggs and small sausages, ham and cheese. Nice strong coffee and a selection of tea. Would definitely recommend for great Greek hospitality at a reasonable cost.
