This Camping has  great views. You can see the venetian castle above and below Kapsali Beach which has been awarded the Blue Flag. ayou camp under giant pine trees and is very peacful and the staff are very friendly and helpfull. It is very clean and tidy and I will surely come again.

We found the reception staff helpful and friendly. The apartments are a little dated but clean and comfortable with a big living area and sunny verandah. The views are wonderful as the apartments are right at the beach with a choice of restaurants below. There is air conditioning which we used as a heater as we were there in early spring. I would recommend Kapsali Sun. 

First of all, I am from Kythira so my criticism may be a bit biased. So each summer I work at Kapsali, but this last time I decided to stay close to my work and live like a tourist. That said, our 2 months there was perfect, while there was some minor issues that could have made our lives easier, I never regretted my decision. 

Bottom line, if you are adequate with camping and don't want to spend to much of your budget on other expensive accommodations (or afford a longer stay). Just go fully prepared and organized like free camping and you will be king!

Oh and one more thing: 
Please make yourself  a favor and get a hammock! With so many trees, there will be posts for everyone.

Kapsali Sun is located on a road that runs along a quaint cove.  The views from the terraces frame the sea and beach below, a lighthouse to the left, the cliffs and structures of the castle to the right. The rooms were very clean, and minimally furnished. The restaurant below offered a nice breakfast, with friendly service, directly on the beach. Kapsali Sun is a good economical base for exploring the local Hora and the rest of the island, with nice views, clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff.

This is the only camping on the island. It is the cheapest option available, so in August it is full. There is plenty of shade, thanks to the pine trees. It is close to Kapsali beach. Actually the camping is situated right behind the Kaspali seafront, with all the tavernas etc. There is a mini market nearby, but nothing inside the camping. Facilities are basic. Very kind and helpful staff.

Great View

This camping is the only one in Kithira and unfortunately the municipality owns it and it is a little bit abandoned.
There is plenty of shadow as the camping is inside a pine forest with many trees (looks like a free camping) but it is not right next to the sea and you have to walk around 10-15 minutes to get there.
The toilets and the showers (not many of them) are a little bit dirty and you never find hot water!
The camping doesn't have facilities to cook or wash your clothes,only two refrigerators to store your stuff.
There is not a restaurant or a bar to buy anything,only a faucet to drink water for free.
