Cosis Inn

We rented studio appartment at Cosis Inn for a three week stay.  Spacious room with basic cooking facilities and balcony overlooking the village with views down to the bay.
Emma and her husband were excellent hosts making us feel very welcome and offering tips for shops and restaurants etc whilst keeping the place spotlessly clean. Linen and towels changed every two days. Cosis also has its own parking at the rear of the property.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again as it was a great base for exploring this island.

Fantastic position with amazing views. Extremely well run pension with lovely staff.
Near the village of asos on Kefalonia, restaurants and shop facilities 5 minutes walk. Small town beach (not fantastic) but short drive to one of the most photographed beaches in Europe- Myrtos.
Other beaches short drives away.The driving around this area is not for the faint hearted!
We travelled with Ionian and Aegean holidays. Absolutely fantastic service and could not be faulted.

Second visit to Asos in 12 months. First visit to Cosi’s. Emma and Marius ( sorry Marius if that is wrong spelling!) couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming! Nothing was too much trouble for them, even when we broke the shower! 😳😳 the bathroom is pretty compact, but fine, maybe a bit of a squeeze if you have mobility problems. 
We stayed in room 1, which is huge, great space to move around and a massive balcony with room for a dining table.  The views are of ASOS harbour and the sea.  The tree previously mentioned in another review, has been cut down, so view is now clear.  
Cosi’s is at the top of Asos village which is very steep, so again if you have mobility issues it might not be the best choice. 
If staying in Asos, you really need a hire car to get the best of the island. 
If you book thorough Agean and Ionian, you will get a car thrown in. 
Nefeli’s restaurant on the harbour front is difficult to beat for position or food! 
However, Emma’s breakfast omelettes are legendary!

Just returned from spending a week at Cosis Inn lovely little hotel  made to feel really welcome from the minute  we arrived. Comfortable room in a very peaceful setting.  Lovely breakfast with Emma always able to recommend places to visit. Assos is a lovely little resort  but it is little car hire is essential  Visited  several beaches favourite was Jerusalem beach where a visit to Odessey tavern is a must.  Also visited Rosies which is a great place  to eat and drink up in the mountains with great views.  Nefeli Anait is definately  the best place to eat on the resort great food and service.  visit the underground lake it's beautiful.  Travelled  with Ionian & Aegean Island Holidays   would definately  recommend them.

We are staying in Skala for 10 days but decided to hire a car for a couple of days to explore the island. 
We managed to secure a studio at Cosis Inn, Assos for 2 nights. The view was incredible, on first floor overlooking  the sea. This was a little treat for our 25th Wedding Anniversary and Emma provided a complimentary bottle of wine for us to enjoy while watching the sunset. 
The studio had everything we needed and I would definitely recommend a stay if you ever find yourself in this part of Kefalonia. 
The roads are very winding & hair raising at some parts to say the least, especially the road down to Myrtos Beach (Capt Corelli’s) so take care - but so worth the visit. 
Assos is delightful as is Fiskardo and Sami and all the other surrounding bays.  Memories to last forever, truly magical!

We have stayed in Assos before but this was our first time at Cosi’s. We had room 1 which had a large terrace overlooking the village (almond tree in neighbouring garden blocks the view of the bay) and it was great to sit out on but the mozzies were out in full force so candles & repellent are a must! Emma and her husband were very good hosts and we enjoyed the breakfasts they prepared, plenty of food and coffee/tea, great omelettes and friendly chatting! The room was more than adequate, clean and good Wi-fi, with the most powerful shower we have ever had in Greece! Would recommend for lovely relaxing stay just a short, but quite steep, walk from the bay with tavernas and mini markets. There was a big thunderstorm while we were there and it was amazing to watch the lightning from the window even if the rain did wash out the tavernas!

Visited early May 2019.
This was our second stay in Assos, our first at Cosi’s. We stayed in apartment 2 with views over the village, if you leaned over the balcony and looked left you could just see the sea. The apartments are managed/looked after by Emma & her partner (they are not the owners) they are friendly and helpful and prepared a lovely breakfast every morning. Emma makes the most wonderful omelettes adding yoghurt to the mix (a tradition in Rumania where she comes from) I have tried this at home but my efforts were disappointing! Breakfast always set us up for the day.
The apartment was spotlessly clean and we were comfortable with a large living/kitchen space and a raised area separated by curtain with double bed, bedside tables & lamps/lights, large cupboard with shelves & a safe. The bed was very comfortable with a topper, it was not hard like many Greek beds I have slept on. The bathroom is a bit basic, the shower does fasten to the wall but then doesn’t fire the water where you want it and the shower curtain is then sucked into the shower space and plasters itself to you, but we managed. The shower area could do with a little caddy or shower rack to hold a few items, our toiletries were on the edge of the sink and you had to keep reaching out for them.
We had an enormous balcony (we really could have held a party on it!) with table and chairs. It only caught the sun first thing in the morning. It was unseasonably chilly & wet while we were there, we longed for sunshine, even when it had been sunny the balcony was always cool at the end of the day and we did have to wrap up. However, later in the year once it has warmed up, I think the balcony area will bring some welcome shade at the end of the day.
Wi-fi wasn’t great, if we sat near the door to the apartment pick up was better, but I relied on my 4G data allowance. We did speak to Emma and she did her best to resolve, but we stopped pestering her about it.
We visited through Ionian Aegean holidays and booked only a few weeks before our stay, we got a very good reduction (7 nights stay plus flight &  car hire for just under £800 for both of us) at full price I think the apartment is a bit overpriced.
We are both really fond of Assos, the hill is quite steep, but not impossibly so (I use a walking stick occasionally) the hairpin road that brings you down to the village needs negotiating carefully, there are only three restaurants and one harbour side bar/cafe and two small supermarkets, we ate out of Assos three  of nights we were there. We look forward to visiting again and wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Cosi’s Inn again.

We have stayed in Assos a few times but this was our first stay in Cosi's Inn. Clean studio apartment, good breakfast and some great tips on where to eat from Emma who was helpful and amusing company.

My daughter and myself have just come back from staying in Cosi's inn, as in previous reviews what makes this place is Emma.  We had a late booking so we had a good deal.  I think we paid the right amount for the stay with Ionian Island holidays and would not of paid the full price!  we stayed in No 4, which had a wrap around balcony so got some sun in the afternoon how ever the view to the harbour is obscured by the neighbours tree!  So all in all recommend the apartments and the travel company.
