Daphne Holiday Club

Myself and my friend stayed at the Daphne for a week in September 2019, wanting a cheap and cheerful holiday in the sun. The rooms are basic and a little dated but very clean. The shower is nice and beds made daily. Each room has a nice little terrace with table and chairs. You are not paying five star prices for this hotel so don’t expect five star amenities. It’s very good value. Some of the rooms are situated up an incline. I’ve seen many reviews calling this a ‘Steep Hill’. It is not. If you believe this is a steep hill you need to get out of the house more. Pool terrace has a great view over the mountains and good seating areas. There is a tennis court on site which we used on one of the days. We stayed half board and the breakfasts and evening meal were very nice with different fish and meats daily. It’s a short walk to the local town with lots of bars and restaurants and beach is not far too. You can get a bus to Thessaloniki from the hotel but would not recommend the local bus. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. We broke our terrace door on the first day and they fixed it straight away. Throughout the week they were so friendly and lovely. Honestly, the worst thing about the hotel is the clientele that stay there. Middle aged, entitled, white English Brexit voters who are negative and rude. I believe I have to apologise to all the Greek people for what they have suffered. As two 25 year olds, we didn’t seem to fit in at all!
