Wonderful view, wonderful people! Penelope was an amazing host! So friendly and helpful. Irene is a great cook, she made delicious breakfast! So close to the beach. One of our best summer holidays - first with a baby as well! Rooms are clean, simple and comfortable, with air conditioning! We had an electrical blackout one day and it was fixed the same day. Unbelievable. Would we go back? Yes. Can we recommend ? Yes! 

We stayed for a week at Pension Gerasimos and it was a perfect holiday, thanks to the wonderful hospitality of the owner, Penelope and her family. The building has an ideal location on a hill, overlooking the sea, and it is only a 5-minute walk from the amazing Marathias beach. Our room  with a sea-view balcony had all the essential amenities such as electric kettle, mosquito net and great mattresses for a comfortable sleep. The breakfast was a highlight of the day: after enjoying the calm sea and gentle sun in the early morning on the beach, we were served by a friendly lady Irene, who awaited us with delicious eggs, cheese, Greek yoghurt, fresh fruits and vegetables from Penelope’s garden. The quality and the quantity were both very satisfying, and every day there was a different variety of fruits and pastries. All that on a cosy terrace with beautiful flowers, birds and stunning views of the sea and the surrounding hills with lush forests. Another bonus of staying at Gerasimos apartments was the on-site shop where we could buy food, drinks, local craft and souvenirs. Both Penelope and her husband were super friendly, helpful and welcoming, we felt truly cared for throughout our stay. If you would like to relax in a warm, family atmosphere, be at peace with nature and meet lovely people, Gerasimos Apartments is an excellent choice! We stayed at Pension Gerassimos for 14 days April/May2016. We stayed in room 8 which has a kitchenette with a oven/ grill/ 2 electric plates. There is a full dinner set with cutlery everything to cook a meal if needed but we preferred to eat out each night each night at nearby restaurants. Our room was kept spotlessly clean and we had our own furnished terrace which looked out over the beach and sea. The owner Poppy is a lovely lady who looks after her guests very well and always stops to have a chat. 
Just down the lane is Karma which cooks the best Crepes with Nutella and banana with a big scoop of ice cream I have ever tasted and The Perfect Ten restaurant is just over the road from the Pensions is definitely worth a visit to try beautifully cooked food by Maria and her son Dimitri.   We are looking forward to visiting here again. 

This little hotel is very quiet. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Ther is a large fridge in the room, allowing you to store drinks, food and anything you need. Ther are many tavernas at walking distance: they are very good, serve you a genuine greek cuisine (many greek people eat there!) and really cheap!
The hotel is only 200 metres away from the cristal-clear sea. And last but not least, Penelope, the owner, is an exceptionnally lovely person: she makes whatever you need to make your stay look great. She owns a little store where you can buy food, drinks, souvenirs, etc and store them in your fridge. The room costs only 50.- euros per room, per night, which is next to nothing.
