Excellent
1 reviewThis is a new guest house in Kwashieman. It was not very expensive and it was a nice, quiet place. It's well off the beaten path, which I was pleased with because I wasn't surrounded by tourist hounders and could relax in peace. They are still constructing the upstairs rooms, but they weren't very loud in their work. You just can tell it's unfinished. The place was kept very clean. The common areas were cleaned often and rooms were cleaned on demand with a thorough cleaning once a week, changing sheets, etc.The room was a nice size, with a fan, a/c, a private bathroom and a small fridge and tv. The tv seemed to be second hand and didn't work very well, also they only got three channels, but I didn't mind, because I didn't watch often. There is a nice quiet garden off on the side of the property with mango trees and lush green grass. My husband and I sat in there and talked for hours the first day, not realizing the time was slipping by. It was very relaxing. The employees were very nice. Cosmos and Rashid were very accomodating and looked after our needs nicely. They even set a table in the courtyard for my husband and I to have dinner by the moonlight two nights. It was very sweet. I would definitely stay there again, but I would hire a driver and car next time. Getting around wasn't easy. But I did like being among native ghanaians and not secluded in Osu. I think I was the only non-African guest there. All the other guests at the time were African. They also have a generator for black out nights, but they only keep it on until midnight or so, when they think all the guests are asleep. One night, they kept it on for us until 1:30am because we got in late. They have a kitchen if you want to cook some of your meals. But they don't state on their website, or when you make your reservation, that there is an additional fee for the kitchen. I wanted to try and check with one of the African guests to make sure this wasn't an "American Fee" but I didn't get a chance to. Anyway, just beware the kitchen doesn't come with the fee for your room.
