Lenzkircher Hof

Thought I would write a retrospective review following our stay in May this year. I sometimes can not understand what it is us Brits expect from an overnight stay from some of the reviews on other sites. We arrived an hour or so behind our friends who were tucking into beers on their balcony at the back of the hotel looking out on a very large lawned and wooded area. Peter the owner greeted us, he was a perfect gentleman with a friendly and attentive manner and was obviously proud of what he had achieved thus far in re-decorating . He showed us to our room which overlooked the main street. This bedroom was very big and very retro in design and ambience which suited us down to the ground. The overall effect throughout was like stepping back to the seventies but we felt quite at home. Peters breakfast next morning was excellent and the boiled eggs were done to perfection. Ok to some it may seem out of date and tired, we just felt so at home and comfortable. We are to return next May for two nights and intend to try the restaurant.
