Chalet Feldberg

WoW! Where do I start? It is rare for me to review but honour is due where it's due. Excellent holiday apartment that accomodated our party of 13 people. Big bedrooms and in our case added air beds. Fully stocked kitchen with all appliances and utensils was found clean on arrival. One big bath on top floor, one smaller bathroom on first floor, and shower in the cellar, next to a fully functional sauna. Living room is big and bright. Equipped with satelite TV and sound system, WIFI also available. There is dishwasher and washing machine plus a fridge. Outside there is parking spaces for three to four cars for the big apartment and another space for the small apartment. Gas BBQ was provided by the host. Appartment is in superb quiet location, close to the main road between Feldberg ski area and Titisee. There is a Lidl supermarket within 5 minutes walk, bakery and a bunch of hotels with bars and pizza restaurant. In Titisee one can go to the tropical covered pools at Badeparadise. 5 minutes by car in the other direction is Feldberg Ski area, for which the Schwarzwald card offers a very good saving on lifts. Lovely furnished and stocked flat with excellent hosts - Mr and Mrs Dycast. The fact they run a hotel nearby in Schluchsee proves they know what a customer service is to a degree of excellence. The booking process was easy, emails and queries returned on a timely manner, quote was excellent, having in mind that the Schwarzwald card is included. One hour before arrival a customary call needs to be given and Felix was waiting at the property for our arrival. In a quiet and friendly manner we were shown around the property and all features and machines operation explained. Felix has an excellent command of English which is a big plus. He was very kind to answer all sort of questions and provided a full guidance on the local amenities, train times and curious events during our holiday. There was a bottle of wine and home made cookies also provided with compliments from the hosts. The holiday was without any issues. We also visited their hotel in Schluchsee which has a lovely summer terrace on the bank of the lake with excellent views. Felix was always available when we needed him on two occasions when we had issues unrelated to the property or questions on local customs. He was helpful and knowledgeable. When one day we were buried in snow he came to dig the snow out... Checkout was troublefree and we fell in love with the area and the property so already made request for next winter.
