Haus am Berg

My wife and I stayed for two nights at Haus Am Berg and wish we could have tacked on a couple of extra nights. We were able to check in a bit early on our first day as we were greeted by an extremely friendly housekeeper/hostess. Our German is limited but her English was strong and we were able to communicate effectively. The included breakfast, served in a room with a fantastic view of the valley below, was delicious, eclectic and plentiful. The room itself was spotless and had a great view from the balcony. The mattress was a bit stiff and the pillows were a little thin, but those would be our only suggestions for improvement. The guesthouse is strategically located between Titisee (don't waste your time there) Schluchsee (a great lake) and the Wutachschluct (a beautiful hike!). For some great views, walk up the steep hill behind Haus Am Berg at sunset.
