Pension Am Klünderberg

Overall, I liked it. The owner is quite a character with charm, and once contact is establishedit can develop into a very pleasant contact. Being the sole guest during this stay, it seems that I was given a preferential treatment in regards to accommodation ( a very spacious sleeping quarter + comfy enclosed balcony). Being in off-season, rate was on the very cost-efficient side. There is another advantage that the so-called Baeder-Bahn has a stop right in front of this accommodation. Another advantage is that getting there (on foot) is good for your health, as this accommodation is located on a hill with a very steep incline. Downtown Binz is not more than 10 minutes on foot (important for dining - breakfast, lunch, dinner); same goes for the beach (it is all downhill). Note: Payment is based on cash ONLY, so be prepared (No debit or credit cards accepted). Being the only guest, I was advised to walk downhill to see one of the bakeries for breakfast, which was quite pleasant, as it forced me to walk. There are several places for breakfast within a range of 10 minutes walk. Once the house has a sufficient number of guests, breakfast is offered as an extra. Overall, a unique experience in one of the older styled Baeder Pensions on the Baltic Coast. Suggestion: Get familiar with the layout of Ostseebad Binz, location of Kleinbahnhof Binz (Rasender Roland) and the local bus transportation system, leaving from the main station of Ostseebad Binz as well as shopping possibilities (groceries). Binz has a lot to offer, even in off-season.
