My husband and I were on our way and we stopped by in the locker room. Although the restaurant had already had lunch, we got a really delicious lunch that was freshly prepared on request. We can recommend the restaurant La Corona and the locker room and surroundings are also worth a trip.

Spontaneous stopover coming from vacation

We spent 4 nights in La Corona and we also had instead of pillows, only thin lapels. The room was extremely noisy and you had to choose between rest or fresh air. It wasn't really cleaned - paper was on the floor for 4 days. On Wednesday there was no breakfast because Tuesday is rest day! You don't have to understand, but it was. The breakfast itself was okay. The food at the restaurant was also okay, but we were asked to pay at 11:00 and leave. All in all, no further recommendation.

Not really recommended

We stayed at the hotel (GottseiThank you only 2 nights). - The pillows were all wiped out, so thin and crushed as if they had been inherited from grandmother. - The room was so small that the service tables at the bed were turned, but we could no longer open the drawers. - Several spiders in the room who had woven their nets days before. - The water in the shower came only as a drain. - Cleanliness is a general issue: if, for example, in the sink the toothpaste is to be found... the 2 days... then that's not a big deal. - No WLAN - Mattresses are located, the bed is full of large beds. - Visitors to the church - Wughitar/Mitarose (?), a hotel that we could not operate with at least a few millimeters of water, but we could not use it for the entire time.

It's bad.

Hotel is located in the center of Maikammer. Great variety of wine producers in walking distance - we can recommend Manfred Schädler ( Inh Steffen Mugler). Nice hiking tours are nearby - autumn is a pretty busy time and many hikers are in the area. Prices are high during this period. 
Hotel reception open after 5.30pm. Rooms are clean and have standard equipment. No WiFi available. Overall - a pretty standard hotel for those, who are tired and only want to have a place to sleep.

Standard

When we arrived around 4pm, we were in front of a closed door and had to wait until 5.30pm to open.The room was clean, the TV was unfortunately off.The Internet was not available in the room. Breakfast was only from 8.30pm to 9.30pm and no choice, only boiled ham and cheese and unfortunately hot coffee.

Walking

Central hotel in the middle of the room. Room and bathroom were clean. Furniture is being sought. Unfortunately, in the bathroom there is only one toothbrush and unfortunately no soap or shower gel. Breakfast is more than disappointing. Baked buns, unlovely spread cheese. A little fruit, but not daily. No cereal, no yogurt or anything like that. Time is limited to 1 hour! On weekends, I don't want to have a hard breakfast between 8:30 and 9:30. No wheezing and a very poor TV reception.

Rather poor price performance

This is primarily a restaurant which also provides rooms. There is no dedicated reception and there are limited check-in / card payment and breakfast times. The house is charming, the rooms are clean and spacious - the furniture style is to be an acquired taste. The parking is unfortunately not directly attached to the house as advertised but some hundred meters down the road (but free). Breakfast times (on a Sunday) was only from 9am to 10am and there was no choice but a prepared table with lukewarm coffee. Card payment was only possible in the evening when the restaurant was open. I cannot judge on the quality of the restaurant. The price is rather high - therefore I can only give a moderate rating.

Centrally located - but rather poor value for money!

The La Corona is a typical restaurant in the heart of the make-up room, right across from the church. The restaurant is very clean. The outdoor dining in the summer, on the other hand, is uninviting. The choice of pre-dishes and main dishes is very large. Here you get pizza, pasta, fish and meat. Here I can recommend all categories, the kitchen is really delicious, no matter what you order. The problem here is that I never get full.
