Pension Villa Fortuna

Villa Fortuna was a top notch stay for us in every category. The service was excellent, the building was impressively lovely, the room was spotlessly clean, surprisingly large, and very accommodating. The location was very convenient, and the host friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast.

Villa Fortuna is the most amazing resort for a family vacation, especially if you wish to have a taste of both relaxing and lively atmosphere. This villa is located only a few min walk from the train station, from which the train leaves to Berlin every half hour. So, one can arrive at Berlin within the hour. Also, you can get to The Tropical Islands station in 7 min  (a special bus goes from the station to the entrance of the park every few min). 
 
The whole place is surrounded by the most beautiful garden one could imagine, full of trees, plants, fruit and flowers. Tables, chairs and benches are placed around the garden so you can deside to sit under a tree or under the sun. It also has a pond in which ducks swim and enjoy the peace and quiet. There is a trampoline, ping-pong kit, BBQ stand, a sand box. And it's all for you and your family.
The house itself is simply huge. at least 3 bedrooms with double sized beds, a living room with cable TV,  two bathrooms and toilets (hair dryers, towels and hand soap included) and a fully equipped kitchen. The whole complex has a beautiful interior design, of both modern and antique styles. And most important - it's perfectly clean, absolutely spotless.
The landlord is most hospitable and very friendly. he offers his guests anything that would make them feel at home.
Right behind the villa there is a shopping center with REWE supermarket and other stores and a small cafe. A few minutes walk away from the villa you can get to the center of town, where you will find cafes, a movie theater, and quite a few restaurants and stores.
in sum, if you plan your family vacation in Germany, Pansion Villa Fortuna is the perfect choice. If you like to walk, a car is not a necessity.

The cottage is super romantic for couples & great for families with kids (it will sleep 5) There is nothing bad at all to stay about Villa Fortuna!  If I were to go to Berlin again, I would definitely day trip from here.  The staff is fantastic & very attentive to any inquiry/need.  Breakfast was lovely, the cottage we stayed in was absolutely fantastic. It sleeps 5 & we were 4, but there was plenty of room to move around & just relax.  For kids, they will love the 'tower room'  but as a couple, I'd highly recommend the cottage as well…a totally romantic getaway with bedroom upstairs & kitchen/bath/living downstairs.  Decor is really lovely in vintage shabby chic…someone has some talent!  It smells nice & there are nice bath products.  The kitchen is very well equipped & there is a grocery store a stones' throw away!  There is also a train station not very far at all, which is why I would recommend it for Berlin day trips.  Also a 20minute drive to Tropical Islands.

Located in a neighborhood, noise is not much of a problem (except the drunk guy on Christmas night!)

There are so many small/odd shaped windows it is difficult to find good coverings for them.  If you need to sleep in a black room, this is probably not the place for you, especially in summer when days are longer.  Lack of solidly covered windows might also cause some to question privacy..the bedroom upstairs still seems quite private, though the 'tower room' (kids) is not.  This wouldn't keep us from staying here again, though!

Great place to spend a week with family.We were only passing,stayed one night but we were surprised how beautiful it is.We were in the cottage,which is great for families.The interior was as it was at home,I did not have to search for stuff(plates,sugar,etc),all was at hand.The garden is remarkable,a great place for kids.The market is 2 minutes away.Only remark I had is regarding the trains passing by the property.But this was not a problem
