Reichshof Hotel Hamburg

Just truly OUTSTANDING! The Reichshof is such a beautiful gem to stay at when visiting Hamburg. Just walking into the large lobby with its mix of old European Charm and wonderful modern decor made us feel right away that we are staying at the right place. It felt grande. Our room, a large King room, was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. The staff members cross board were always friendly and helpful. We also used the sauna and steam room for a 10 Euro a person fee, which was a nice option after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast buffet was also delicious and plentiful. We enjoyed a drink at the 1910 bar in the hotel which was a nice added option and had a beautiful warm and welcoming feel. The location is just perfect, right across the Central Station with many options for the metro system for exploring Hamburg. It is also in walking distance to the Alster, Rathaus, shopping, and just a couple of subway stops to the port and Landungsbrücken attractions, and the vibrant night life of the „Kiez“. Restaurant options are plentiful around the corner of the hotel throughout the nice area of St. Georg. Our favorites near by were the „Old Schifferbörse“ restaurant next door (beautiful maritime style restaurant with great food), as well as „Frau Möller Restaurant“ (a local eatery a block or two away). We will always return to the Reichshof when staying in Hamburg, one of the best places we stayed at throughout our travel years.
