Elb-Residence

My husband was working in Germany for two months. My adult daughter and I joined him for three weeks and this apartment/hotel worked out perfect. An extra bed was set up in the spacious living room area and a bathroom separated the bedroom from the living room and kitchen. Each room had doors which is a big plus to give people "space". I could use the kitchen in the middle of the night without bothering anyone sleeping in the living room or bedroom! An adjoining hotel has free washers and dryers which look new and work well in a well-equipped laundry room. Next to the laundry rooms - 2 on each floor - there is a nearby lounge with a tv, computers, a sofa, desk, bathroom. Very pleasant. The kitchen is adequate. Enough dishes etc. I bought a cutting board, nothing else. The cookware seemed to be of a good quality and I appreciated it being stainless steel. The housekeepers suck. I would rather just do it myself. The Internet service is lacking but it is free. You can pay to upgrade the service. I liked the neighborhood. Easy walk to many small restaurants - Asian, Turkish, German - and all sorts of small shops and a fantastic bakery. 2 minute walk to a bus stop where for 2 euro you can go to the train station.
