A low rate so you can't expect something majestic but still! A dull hotel. A good home. A cool room, very poorly insulated from the noise of other rooms and the peripheral. A single electrical outlet near the front door. A stained, worn-out carpet floor. No toilet paper divider. A coat in the bathroom, no serviced doors.

It's just a problem.

First of all, it was the very attractive price (36€) and the proximity to the LA CARRIERE concert hall that brought me to this hotel. When I arrived, a charming lady welcomed me. It was at the entrance to my room that I was disappointed. The floor carpet is stained. The top of the bed has cigarette holes and the paintings on the walls seem homemade... the bathroom is narrow but for one night we are satisfied. I did not pay attention to a few details but the hotel is located on the periphery, so long as it circulates.

A hotel that lives up to its price

The hotel is very well located near a shopping area the room is comfortable. This hotel does not have Wi-Fi but it was not a necessity for us. You have the choice between two breakfasts which is very well depending on whether you are big eaters or not

A pleasant stage

I stopped in Nantes to cut off my trip. On the sidewalk (but not particularly noisy with the window closed), this hotel was right on my way. Free parking in front of the hotel. Located in a shopping area, a few restaurant chains nearby, easy to fill or shop.

Cheap hotel right

Reserved on the Internet for two nights, we found the parking entrance after passing twice in front (attention it is very discreet and only accessible in one direction). The hotel is small (there must be about thirty rooms I think) and fast full especially on the Zenith concert nights which is only a few minutes walk away. You also have about 2 minutes' walk to the giant Atlantis shopping centre, and the tram not too far away, which makes this hotel really well located. The rooms are small but are largely enough for one or two nights. The bathroom is also small but very clean. We haven't tested the breakfasts. We recommend this small hotel where we will return for another clean concert.

Excellent value for money and very good location

I booked the room for 34€, cheap by French standards. The hotel is an old Balladins hotel, maybe 25 or 30 years old. The name has changed but little has been invested for maintenance or renovation. In my room the bathroom doorknob was loose, at the table there was part of the covering missing, many signs of wear and tear everywhere. You still get a real key with the room number attached on a handwritten piece of paper. Having said all that, the reception staff was friendly when I arrived and so was her colleague serving the breakfast the next morning. The room and bed were reasonably clean and maybe some people appreciate that you have two choices of breakfast: the simple one for 2,90€ which is just a croissant, orange juice and a hot beverage or the more sophisticated one for 5,90€ which adds two pieces of fresh bread, butter, jam and a youghourt to the former.
If you have to work in the room be prepared for a very poor internet signal (I couldn't manage to get connected with my laptop), an uncomfortable metallic chair and just two plugs: one near the entrance door and the other one near the TV, high above on the wall.
Not really things to complain about, considering the price you are paying, as the basics are ok: the bed is clean and I had a good sleep, the shower is small but it works, the breakfast is ok and staff is friendly.
Conveniently they have a parking lot and next door is the Atlantis comercial centre with shops and restaurants. And nearby are many more restaurants, so the location is not bad.
