When we arrived we received a pleasant greeting and Madam kindly booked a local restaurant for us.

Our room; not bid but nice comfortable bed and the bathroom was a good size. We had paid for a room with a shower (the bath being extra and my husband is sometimes tight we money).  Nobody else was staying the night we were so I was a little put out that they didn't upgrade up for free to a room with a bath in the bathroom.  

Raray is a model, picture perfect village, immaculately preserved.  The chateau looks beatiful but is now sadly given over to a golf courese.  My husband described the village as a 'Stepford Wives village'  If you know what I mean .... almost too perfect.  If is a very quiet village.  No shops, restaurant or school that we could see.

Breakfast was rubbish and an extra Euro 11 each (I think).  That is for, orange juice, coffee, one croissant each and toast.  Only offering one croissant each is really mean.  I also think they came from the supermarket ( I saw a packed) and Madam warmed them on the toaster. i would have expected fresh from the local boulangerie but I guess this was too much effort.  I also expect a place offering b&b to not charge extra for breakfast.

My husband thought that the b&b was fairly priced considering its location to the golf course.  I think if breakfast had been included and had been more generous that I would have given it one more star.

Overall nice stopover - over priced

Ok. So, this B&B is located in Raray which is in the middle of nowhere. 
The room itself was ok. It had a minibar, coffee/ thee options and a small flatscreen tv (no English channels). The (wireless) internet didn't really work or it had a bad & poor connection. The bathroom was nice and spacious with a jacuzzi, but no shower. The bed was comfortable and I had a good night of sleep as it's very quite at this place. 
There is no restaurant here or close by. I believe the nearest option is in Villeneuve (about 6 km) or in Senlis (about 12 km) from this place.

The worse part, however, is the breakfast, which normally is very nice in a B&B concept. It costs 10euro and they only offer a croissant, a few slices of bread with some butter and a bit of jam. One glas of orange juice, coffee or thee and a yogurt. 

From my point of view, the only reason to stay at this place is if you like golf, which you can play in the grounds of the Raray castle next door and spending the night in a more affordable place (still around 100euros per night).

It's a B&B with poor breakfast

We booked in here as a stopover on our way back to Calais. Beautiful area and room but the most half-a@&£d service I've ever encountered. Whatever you do don't have the breakfast! We came down to an abandoned room with uncovered orange juice sat on the table for who knows how long. We were given some toast on a wet plate so it was inedible but the woman ran out before we could comment, there were cornflakes but no milk or spoons. The shower was awful and the loo not designed for a man to sit down on so beware chaps!! The walls are extremely thin as we discovered when our normal volume conversation was interrupted by banging on the wall at 11pm (past the 10am curfew). We are currently sitting in the lobby waiting to checkout and haven't seen anyone for 15 minutes...
