Le Puits D'Angle

Architecturally attractive in pleasant garden setting in a village full of similarly attractive homes and a church with a medieval porch. There is a green opposite the B&B. Parking is inside the grounds. I did not use it but there is an indoor swimming pool which seemed to please another couple of guests. My room was up some stairs into a private area with bed in one part and bathroom across the landing. Huge bath. Big room with lots of ancient wood. All very calmly and tastefully decorated. Wifi worked well. I'd booked for an evening meal (advisable as nearest restaurant is several km away). We were gathered round the terrace table enjoying a drink and conversation when all went black. David discovered it was a major outage and after un-fussed conversation with Florence hauled in the barbecue. We ate in the library in candlelight a superb three course meal with the meat perfectly cooked at the right time. Breakfast was very good too. It's a lovely place, with very pleasant and efficient hosts, great bedroom and peace. One of the best B&B I've discovered in France.
