1183 reviewsThis was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at and I travel a lot. Check-in was somewhat OK. When I got to the room, we found a bed (clean, thank God!!) but the room did not have space for 2 suitcases, so we had to walk around the suitcases to access the bathroom. The backing of the closet was detached, there was no iron or ironing board as specified under "Amenitites" in the hotel description. The paint was peeling off the corners of the wall. The bathroom was gross. The handles of the vanity cabinet were broken. I couldn't shower right away because the towels were dirty. When I tried calling the reception to ask for fresh towels, the phone was not working, so at that point I went downstairs and was welcomed by a sour-puss Russian who gave me 2 new towels. When I got to the shower, almost all the showerhead holes were clogged and there was some very faint trickle from the ones that were working. My 14-year old refused to shower and when I sent an email to the hotel regarding the shower issue, they offered us free breakfast!!!! Maybe that was because I told them that I didn't want a repair person in the room when I am not there - I was afraid they were going to go through my suitcases and that was the last thing I needed -. I am so disappointed because we had a 4-night stay at this hotel and it completely ruined our exciting experience and stay in Paris. The hallways and staircase are extremely narrow, so careful with your luggage and the carpet on the stairs is disgusting. We stayed out of the hotel the entire day (for 5 days) and tried to have the least contact with the staff. When we checked out there was no one at the reception so I left the key card on the desk, only to find the receptionist watering the flowers outside - she didn't even say goodbye. Every evening when we'd get back to the hotel the receptionists would be outside talking on the phone. All the staff very rude at all times. VERY SAD and frustrating experience. Also, the rate was VERY HIGH compared to the quality and the room had a view to the inner courtyard, which was a very sad view. This hotel is called Eiffel Segur and it is supposed to have views of the EIFFEL TOWER! PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL FOR YOUR STAY IN PARIS because it will only take a toll on you and your nerves and will just ruin your experience in Paris.
