Returned home from a glorious seven days in beautiful Nice. (6/19/25-6/26/25). Traveled as a couple and stayed at the Victor Hugo. We were greeted by Gilles and the hotel manager Marius (shown with me in photo). Lovely hotel in the best location in Nice, walkable to all the main areas. Promenade is a less than ten minute walk, 4.2 miles of amazing seasides sights with a combination of beach clubs (loungers and umbrella $60 a day) and public beaches. Side note not sand beaches would recommend bringing /buying swim shoes. Lots of shopping and restaurants galore along the way walking to old town and the Castle Hill. Also within a twenty minute walk. The hotel itself is a charming, comfortable and extremely well maintained with air conditioned rooms and a small kitchen perfect for wine and cheese! everything you need to relax and unwind during your trip and a bountiful breakfast included. Of course daily housekeeping. Gilles is the perfect host, we enjoyed our daily conversations with him. He is knowledgeable and available for your every need with wonderful suggestions to make your Cote ď Azur the most it can be. We highly Recommend this hotel, very safe and the great location makes it the ultimate choice for your stay in France. au revoir Gilles until the next time.
