Hôtel Domaine Langmatt

Followers of tesla city of London, will know that we normally do a tour of Europe each year however we missed out last year due to family issues. As we normally do this in January we decided to have a weeks rest. We booked at they hotel domaine Langmatt. The room was as stated in other reviews "dated" but was homely and comfortable, we were situated at the front of the hotel and had spectacular views of all the local mountains including the "Grand Ballon" . We woke up most mornings with the sun shining and looking down into the clouds and the sound of silence. If you want a rest then this is the peaceful serene spot for you The hotel is a family run business headed by Mr Jean-Paul Bissel and everyone was friendly and helpful, if you follow me you will know I do not hold back on my reviews, so yes the sauna does look like a shed from the outside but inside "the part that counts" is a fully working sauna made by a famous Swedish company. The inside swimming pool is kept at a constant 27 degrees and is clean and functional. The restaurant seemed at first expensive, so our first day we tried elsewhere only to pay 13 euros for the most disappointing lunch I have ever experience, so we tried Langmatts restaurant and was not dissappointed the food was all local, full of flavour and plentiful and dined there every night, I still have to find the secret of their Tarte Pomme which was light and delicious. So all in all if you want peace and tranquility, helpful staff , good food at an average price then give Domaine Langmatt a try. We will definitely be going again and will add it to our itinerary for our European trips. A big thank you to the Bissel family and Stephanie
