Le Prieuré Saint Rémy

The hotel is in a quaint village in the middle of French countryside and is well signposted to find. You approach it via a long driveway and wow! What a beautiful building . We were friendly greeted by the amiable owner and offered drinks in the lounge, very homely. There is a games room( billiards) and outside jacuzzi for customers use. We were the only guests on this occasion and were made to feel totally at home. The bedroom was huge and had French doors opening onto the large garden. The bathroom was large with shower over bath, only a very minor criticism - perhaps needed updating. Bed was comfortable and there was no noise whatsoever, we slept in till very late. Breakfast was fit for a king - normal selection of croissants and bread plus ham and cheeses , then fresh crêpes were brought out and then a freshly baked apple tart which we didn't have room for - all in all one of the best breakfasts we have ever had. Our only regret is that we only stayed for one night, would have liked to have stayed longer, would highly recommend this hotel for warmth of host and peaceful stay and comfort.
