So worth the visit to this magnificent museum. You don't realize the magnitude of this place until you visit it so before you go map out your favourite exhibits as you can't do it all in one day. We went early in the day and the line ups were crazy even off season (went in October) but because we read the reviews on trip advisor we found out that on certain days of the week there is another entrance besides the main entrance. We happened to go on a Wednesday which was one of the days and we walked right in. No line up. Went through security and bought tickets in less then 10 mins. The entrance is about a 10 min walk from the main entrance and it is in between the lion statues (that's the best way I can deceive it). Once inside expect large crowds at the main exhibit like the Mona Lisa and the Venus De Milo but just be patient and a little pushy to get to the front to take your picture. It's absolutely wonderful, beautiful and so worth it. Kids are free. Loved it!
