Scopa Rossa

THe Hotel Scopa Rossa is situated at the top (east end) of the village of Evisa, on the road down to Porta. You can see the sea but don't be fooled as it's longer on the windy twisting mountainside road than it looks. Evisa is a great wee place to stay as you can access lovely gorge walks either by foot from the village or by a short drive. The hotel is a simple establishment but what it offers is fine. We had one of the rooms at the back, which are actually separate from the main building and may well be better as they don't overlook the road, although I have to say, the village is pretty quiet. We had our own en suite, and a balcony overlooking the yard between us and the main builiding. You park your car in this yard, and it gives access to the small pool owned by the hotel. Our room was small but clean and fit for purpose. Note: if you want to use wi fi you have to be in the main hotel as it doesn't reach these rooms. Breakfast is a very simple bread/croissant and jam affair with a help yourself coffee machine and fruit juice on the table.We didn't use the restaurant but it looked well used of an evening, always a good sign!
