Fasthotel Bordeaux Eysines

This is not four star, several workers vans were in the car park, but as an overnight stay it suited my needs perfectly. If you want plush carpets, huge bathrooms and an on site restaurant then do not stay here. If you just want a room, car parking and a great welcome at a fair price not far from the airport and are willing to walk out to a local restaurant then consider this place. I was passing through Bordeaux and happened upon it while looking for a place to stop over while travelling back to England. The welcome from the Robin Williams look alike was great, smiles, advice, and the response to my price enquiry was, the price is cheap, on-suite a comfortable bed, a shower, wash basin and toilet, small but ok. Any question I asked was answered with a smile, after a walk around the area I was given a glass of some local aperitif on my return, they have smoking rooms apparently, mine was no smoking. Advice on where to eat was happily given and I enjoyed a good menu locally, which when you're travelling alone is really helpful. Not for families or fussy people. Breakfast was simple but adequate with as much coffee as you can drink. I probably wouldn't stop there with the wife but if I'm back in Bordeaux would not hesitate to stop there again. It's about 15 min from the airport, difficult to find at first but we'll worth the effort
