The location was excellent and the contemporary redesign of a historic house really appealed to us. Our host was delightful.

Aw, just a good place, fair price, location - terrific base for covering Loire. Bedroom & small kitchen were perfectly fine, which is more  than one can say for some hotels in Paris!

Mary was ver kind and welcomingShe allowed us to enter the unit at 3pm— earlier than official.

Beautiful room, kitchen access, quiet and relaxing stay. I would highly recommend staying here, easy access to town and a comfortable room with a kind and welcoming host.

Mary was a wonderful hostess. The property was spotless. It felt like home! Very easy to walk into the historical center of Amboise.

Mary is wonderful. After notifying her we arrived early and checked right in. The room was very clean and the bath was modern and clean. Only two rooms to this little hotel. Would stay here again without a doubt. Parking could be a concern but it worked out great. Easy walk to restaurants. Very cool little place!

The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The host was very helpful and friendly. We loved her dog Rodin. We also like the kitchen.

This property was excellent. Room was large and very comfortable. Bathroom lovely.  There is a small kitchen that is used for house guests. Very nice with coffee and tea available Walking distance to town. Beautiful area. Mary was kind and answered any questions that we might’ve had.

Our hostess Mary could not have been more helpful. Although the kitchen is shared we had it to ourselves for 2 days and so had an ‘extra’ room to use. The property is within easy walking distance of the old town and there are many places for breakfast or more substantial meals nearby (some literally round the corner). We found a parking space nearby but that did not seem guaranteed. We would recommend this place to stay warmly.

More of a "Bed & Breakfast"-type stay than a hotel, we had a large bedroom with a bathroom and access to a shared kitchenette on the same floor. The room was clean and comfortable and Mary was friendly and helpful. It is a short walk across the bridge to the downtown area with all the shops and restaurants. I had no problem finding street parking but the streets are very narrow.

Charming Amboise hotel

Amazing, romantic, very cute house and room. If you want to feel like at Musketeer's area and age that would be a great opportunities. Madam Mary was very friendly, sweet, welcoming hostess. Room is very clean, modern bathroom and cute kitchen. Literally 7 minutes walk through gorgeous bridge to Royal Chateau and central street with tons of restaurants and shops. On the corner, 1 minute to walk, located  the best view Bar "Le Shaker", to enjoy view of Amboise Chateau. The best relaxing vacation ever!!!

Pierre, was friendly and helpful.  He provided great suggestions for activities in the local area.  The room was large, clean and comfortable.The only issue was that the window latch was broken so we could not open the window for fresh air.  This was not a problem since temperature in the house was very comfortable.  We wished that we had planned a longer visit to the town and would be happy to stay in the same room.Thanks Pierre!

Great place to stay

Such a beautiful inn! So clean and cozy with a big comfortable bed, great shower, and big window. Grapevines, wisteria and flowers adorn the back side. There's a perfect little kitchenette for guests to use which was very helpful. Mary was so kind, a gracious host. Villa Mary was the best accommodation so far of our 5-week trip!

Room was nice but, if you do not like perfume smells you will not like it.  Allergies/sinuses had issues. Clean but, why so many scents.  Parking was on very narrow streets, did not feel comfortable leaving car around corner from Villa.  Wished it would have included some form of food for breakfast, looking for food the night before was very limited.

The owner was lovely and very welcoming. I asked of there was any milk for tea in the morning and there was some in the cupboard so I really appreciated that. Room was very nicely decorated and spacious. Shower very good.Great location for visiting Amboise. And parked right outside the house too which was handy.

Fantastic house in a great location. The quality of the finish in the room was first-rate, the bed was large and extremely comfortable - and there was a well-equipped kitchenette, shared with the other room. Marie was an excellent, friendly host and Amboise itself is a lovely town to visit, with everything reachable on foot. Great view of the château from the Ile d’Or and the Château du Clos Lucé, where Leonardo da Vinci lived at the end of his life is well worth a visit.
