Hostel Vuokrahuone

Myself and a friend stayed here during Flow Festival and I chose this hostel as it was walking distance to the festival and very cheap. It is not in the city centre and its takes about 20mins on a tram to get to the centre. It is very close to Kallio where there are plenty of bars Fro check in and booking I received an email from the hostel with my room number and key code, we arrived very late at night and absolutely no problems We had our own private room it was very small but for the purpose of our trip it was perfectly fine, all we wanted a bed for the night and this fit the bill. Free wifi that was super fast. We had shared bathroom/shower facilities and they were clean and well maintained. The kitchen which was also communal was ideal and included dishwashers for "that one" resident who doesn’t know how to clean up after themselves.......... On our last day we had an evening flight and when we asked could we stay an extra couple of hours the lovely girl on reception extended our door codes until we had to leave for the airport at no extra cost. Overall it was a pleasant stay I would recommend the hostel as a place to stay for a short visit. but please remember it is a hostel not a 5 star hotel. Helsinki is not a cheap city so if you can save on accommodation then that for me is a bonus....
