Palomestari

I had not done any research on the hotel before arriving at Palomestari.  Was very happy to find very helpful and kind staff, a clean and comfortable room, and nice location. If I am ever in Kemi again, I will happily stay here.

Booked for one night because other hotel was filled.  Hotel appearance like a restaurant/bar so didn't expected much.  
However,  room was very clean,  bed was really comfy.  They started their breakfast at 8am because of holiday other than usual 7am.  So I thought I have to miss it.  The staff in the hotel prepared everything for us and brought it to your room.  Thanks for the courtesy.  Would love to stay in this place again if I back to kemi for snow castle. 

We did stay one night at the Hotel. Receptionnist was nice and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was simple but enough to start the day.
The hotel is located in the city center and offer parking slots.
We could feel that people running.this business were putting all their heart into their work.

We will definitely come back next year.

I went to the city of Kemi for the purpose of ice fishing in the Lapland Sea.  Picked this hotel because it was centrally located and not too expensive.  The folks that worked the check in desk were helpful and attentive.  The single bed room was clean and the bed was comfortable.  The TV was a disaster....I somehow managed to completely disable it and my lack of knowledge of Finnish made it impossible to fix(who needs tv anyway).  The breakfasts were filling and they even let me fill up my thermos with coffee to take on the ice.  The bar was modest and the desk clerks were also the bartenders.  By the way I caught 12 perch and had my line broken by a burbot(made).

Basecamp for ice fishing.

Very happy to find this hotel.

It is just a basic hotel with basic rooms which are clean and comfortable.  Staff were friendly and helpful.  Convenient location in city centre near supermarket and restaurants. Not the Ritz, but would stay again.

The personnel in this hotel are rude. Not even answering to polite questions good day or how are You, not even in finnish language.
