Calla Bella Residence

This is literally just steps from the main square in Skopje! I had a nice room in a 3-bedroom apartment with shared bathroom and kitchen. Very clean and comfortable. There's also an elevator in the building, which is convenient if you have heavy bags.

- Loc.: attached to Main Sq. & Stone Bridge front to across to O.T. _Intercity Bus & Train St. =2 km E. walk or local Bus close _big Mall incl. “Vero” SuperMarket Close.
- Rm.: not as Described: with Private Bath +v. big Window /Balcony +many language Ch. Flat TV + Kettle +sm. Mini Bar +AC is good after “Marco” change me to other Rm.
- Actually no Ht.: 2 Apartment = 6 Complete Rms. At 4th. fl. with old good lift + do not use Wi-Fi.
- Staf.: v. early Check In +Dealing friendly +no Map +Eng. +Office at close bldg.. with limit Working hrs. 11-16:00 due Corona.

We spend here one night on our trip back from Greece. Location of the apartment is very nice and view was great. This is actualy one big appartmebt devided into 3 rooms with private bathroom. It was very nice and clean. Our host was very kind. Only thing missing was the parking it was far away nad very expensive compared to the room. 

This property is more like an apartment where the hosts rent out each room and then everyone shares the kitchen and bathroom. The room was big, if a little dated, with a lovely view of Macedonian Square. Bars, restaurants and most of the tourist sites are right on the doorstep - the location is definitely the best part of this property. The only downside is that some of the rooms require a little updating.

We spent one night at the apartment. It has three bedrooms that share one bathroom. The location right next to the main square is superb. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was ok but the shower was leaking water and the toilet flush wasn't working properly. Victorija, the friendly owner, helped us find another hotel for the next night because Calla Bella was fully booked.

Yes, the location is good. But this is the only positive thing I have to say! The property is not bad, it looks like the pictures (although not very clean...) BUT: 
1. There is no parking, nor any signs or tables to guide you to your apartment. When we arrived, we expected the property to have a parking as it was written in Booking but there wasn't any. Our host, Philip, suggested a parking space for our car for 20EUR for 2 days a few blocks away but made us make a deal - we had to cancel our booking in front of him(he made us) in order for us to pay 10EUR for the parking instead of 20. So even though we stayed there for 2 days we were forced to cancel the booking just to have a parking space. That was his strategy to make us pay in cash for the apartment in order for Booking to not be able to get a percentage of the money for our stay....
2. The rooms were not ready when we arrived. We waited for an hour or two for the cleaning lady to be ready.
3. There are no bathroom or shower amenities. 
4. The kitchen was pretty dirty.

Misleading....

The worst experience ever! The place is in the center of the city and that is the only thing that was ok. It is interesting how the accommodation is shown on Booking. It looks like it's connected to a fancy snack bar. It's actually in a horrible building nearby. You can see the entrance in the picture. You climb the narrow, stinking hallway to the fourth floor, where there are three or four rooms that look like a girl who put on make-up, and didn't wash or brush her teeth for a year. There are black fingerprints everywhere, everything is sticky and dirty. The bedding had yellow stains and hair. The guys who rent out this accommodation seem to be frauds who have decided to save on cleaning..
