Villa Metulevi

We spent a lovely week with our hosts Sonja and Igor. They were so accomodating from being contactable whenever we needed them to moving their car and putting ours in their garage or moving things around as the streets are very narrow. They really couldn't have been more helpful and friendly at all stages from booking through to leaving. They gave us the choice of two rooms and showed us another which was booked. The rooms are light, bright and airy all in their individual colours, blue, green, purple. We opted for purple as we planned to eat out all holiday and it had the best balcony with lake view. As we didn't have a kettle in our room they left a flask of hot water for us each morning with various coffee and teas and some scrummy sweet snacks. The villa is perfectly situation a few steps of the main shopping area, it has easy access to the local market to the left and to the right the main square. All the restaurants are within 5 minutes walking distance and a supermarket even closer. We very much enjoyed our stay and the knowledge and excellent conversations with Sonja and Igor. Their english is of a very high standard and they are well travelled and happy to share local knowledge and more widely about their country. If I was going to be picky I would say the mattress was a little too hard for me, but that's personal thing and that when there were other guests it was a little noisy as the three rooms on the entrance floor were close together. The standard of accomodation and location were excellent, the price was good and it was exceptionally clean and I mean exceptionally as I am OCD about cleanliness. Sheets and a clean was done mid stay in our week which was spot on. Loved Lake Ohrid.
