Amazing place, amazing people and the best time is a quick summary of my short stay at Vertical Hostel. Marina and Victor are the most fabulous and friendly hosts you could ask for. I was staying at Hi Skopje hostel, which they also own, and was recommended to come down and visit for some skiing. Victor picked me up from Mavrovo, where the bus dropped me off and immediately made me feel so welcomed and at home. Once back at the hostel I was shown to my very warm, clean and comfy room by Marina. The lounge/ kitchen area is great for both socialising and relaxing, with a couple of tables and big sofas but it was really Marina and Victor who made it special by creating such a great homely atmosphere. They even helped me with getting to and from the ski resort everyday. Overall, this hostel is in a beautiful remote location (yet still only around 6km to the ski resort) has a great atmosphere and staff, comfy rooms and a great outside space (I'd love to see this in the summer!). If your a solo traveller, with friends or even a family, you would have an amazing time here. Thanks again to Marina and Victor (and Luka!)
