House Viktorija

Perfect host, perfect location, lovely room, comfy bed, tea and coffee in room.  Restaurants, fast food and supermarkets all around.  Walking distance to everything.  We could see the clocktower from our window.  Heraclea was an easy 30 minute stroll away.  Look for Zenig Pharmacy and entrance is down the side.

We reserved a room through their website, which is well arranged. The hotel is located in the best place you could be in Bitola, the room was quite comfortable and we do not believe that the bathroom will have a Jacuzzi tub with hot water during the entire stay. Pleasant staff who provide us comfortable stay in the city. I would highly recommend Villa Viktorija to anyone traveling to Bitola.

Location and the enviroment is so frendly that you feel like home WiFi internet is available everywhere at the hotel out of charge, clean rooms and friendly staff.

+  Arrived before 11am but it was no problem and we could check in straight away. 
Spacious room with comfortable bed, large wardrobe and good bedside cabinets with reading lights. Good aircon, fridge and kettle. 
Nice bathroom with a powerful shower with massage jets. 
Excellent location right next to the main square. 
Bins were emptied daily and fresh towels left in the room. 
Helpful friendly staff, we were given a good map of Bitola. 

-  Wifi didn't work for hours at a time and reception not manned to ask if it could be rebooted.

When we arrived it was a bit of a nightmare to check in as the gate was locked and no one was in.  We went for lunch and then came back and found the gate open and we managed to check in ok, although we were shown to our room and that was about it.  There are three rooms to Viktorija Rooms and what I didnt realise that after being shown to our room that was about it, the owners were never/rarely around after that.  We were not given any details of who to contact if there were any problems.

The location was superb, far better than I had realised.  A few steps and you are right in the centre.  The room is reasonably spacious and there is a good selection of channels on TV if you are interested in that sort of thing.  There was also plenty of hot water for showers.

On the downside the cleanliness was somewhat questionable, quite dirty around the edges.  The bathroom stank like something had died in there and I dont really want to think what it would be like in the heat of summer!  Do not believe the photos on the website, they have either been airbrushed, taken a few years ago- a few blemishes here and there with paintwork etc.  If you want to make a drink then there is a gas canister in the room to make coffee etc if you want it.

During our trip it was becoming increasingly clear that the owners were rarely around - we were leaving early the next day so we left a note saying that we would like to pay that evening and collect our passports.  Clearly the note was never read and in the end we got another hotel to call the owners so we could sort everything out.

Overall the hotel is ok for a couple of nights stay but is nothing special and there are better alternatives.
