Excellent
14 reviewsWe (my friend and I) spent two nights at the delightful Willa Inga in Leisi, Estonia. We truly enjoyed our stay in all aspects. The owner (Inga) greeted us at the cafe/restaurant on the ground floor. We had a large corner room (number 5) which was designed in good taste:2 single beds pushed together with excellent mattresses and pillows, night stands, a sofa bed, a large round coffee table, a chair and a large closet. The windows open in 2 ways (vertically or horizontally), so we enjoyed the fresh country air. There are two shared toilets with sinks (one room for men and another for women) as well as a shared shower rooms with toilet and sink. The water pressure was fine and the water warm; the shower head was a modern large round "rain shower" type. We never had to wait to access these rooms--so no problem that they are shared facilities. We found all facilities (shower, toilets, rooms and cafe/restaurant) to be very clean and cleaned daily. The large bath towels furnished with the room are very plush and soft. Breakfast is served downstairs in the cafe/restaurant (9am to 10am). It was a very good basic breakfast selection: hot oatmeal with homemade strawberry jam, breakfast cereal, eggs and bacon, slices tomatoes/cucumbers, cheese slices, 2 types of bread, toaster, orange juice, drinkable yogurt, water, coffee. So it provided a good start to the day and kept us satisfied until later in the mid-afternoon for lunch. There is a public living room on the ground floor with a large flat-screen TV, dining table, sofas, games and books. There is also a small refrigerator (we used it to chill our summer wine). Parking is free; we parked our rental car just next to the building. There is a second-floor terrace with a table and 4 chairs - we had a lovely evening dinner, eating very delicious fish sandwiches, quiches and deserts which I had purchased from Inga at her restaurant on the ground floor. The restaurant (and the grocery store (almost next door) close at 8pm. I noted that the restaurant also provides alcohol (beer, wine, cider and hard liquor). I found no problems with the wi-fi reception in our room or in the cafe/restaurant. Although Willa Inga is on the "main road" which is a small asphalt road through Leisi, there is not much traffic noise, certainly not at a level to be a bother (for a city person). Leisi is very near the coast of north-central Saarema and seems to be a good location away from the more-visited tourist sites, but close enough to drive to them all. We highly recommend Willa Inga to anyone reading this review! We will definitely return when we next visit Saarema!! This is a guesthouse, not a hotel, but we didn't spend much time in our room except to sleep. One tip regarding the car ferry between the mainland and Muhu/Saarema islands (between Virtsu and Kuivastu): I would recommend buying an e-ticket with your telephone once you have a good idea of when you might be in Virtsu or Kuivastu. This ticket gives you priority (it is purchased for a specific departure time) and the number of available e-tickets for each scheduled ferry is shown on the internet site. Although we travelled from Virtsu to Kuivastu on a Tuesday afternoon, we had to wait 90 minutes until we were on the car ferry; on the return trip (Kuivastu-Virtsu) on a Thursday at 5pm, we had to wait 4 hours to get aboard the car ferry. Had I checked about e-tickets while waiting in line, I would have purchased the e-tickets and then moved to the e-ticket line (which would have saved a significant amount of time).
