Hotel Anda

Got the chance to stay here for a week. These are my personal views. Others may have different experience. Restaurant is very good. For africa, their food quality and selection is very good. Gym is enormous with impressive equipments. Room and amenities are on par with the best in their class. Service is surprisingly well. Cant use pool if unvaccinated so I was told. It looks very inviting. Overall, Anda impressed me.

The hotel is well laid out, checkin easy, staff friendly, even though English is not that widely spoken. Rooms are spacious, TV restricted to French and Chinese, not ideal, one English news station which helps. Good atmosphere and good breakfast in the morning. Two restaurants at the hotel, both reasonable 

I spent the night at Hotel Anda while traveling to Malabo for work.  Pros:  The hotel itself is quite nice and very comfortable. Check in was efficient and painless. I had room 508 which I found to be spotless upon arrival. The bed was very comfortable as well.   Cons:  If you want to have an adult beverage in the bar, make sure you have cash (they will accept euros or US dollars), otherwise, if you need to use a credit card, you have to wait for the bartender to gather your bill, bring it to the front desk, wait for anyone that may be checking into the hotel and then they will run your card through for the charges. I found that a bit odd for such a modern and well appointed hotel. Also, you should make sure that you have plenty of time to spare when you plan for dinner, as the food is very tasty, however, it takes a long time for your food to arrive.   All things considered, I would still recommend this hotel. 

The food, at the restaurant is very good. Great menu.Fish, rice, meat, everything, is tasty.
The portions are large Service sometimes is very slow but is ok. Prices are high but it´s worth.
A negative point is that credit card payment option is not yet available.

The hotel is closed to the airport and it provides free airport pick up & drop off services (need to book the service in advance). I have stayed in the Hotel for 2 weeks and they upgrade me to another category of guest room for free. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, they could even remember my name after 2 days! The gym room is big and got sauna & steam as well. The most important highlight is that it got the best Chinese restaurant in town!!! I will definitely come back for sure!

Chinese Restaurant

Portions are large to be fair but pricy and just not that tasty. Better Chinese restaurants in Malabo. Service was ok and beer cold. It seems to be reasonably popular but other expats I speak to are all lukewarm about it
