My wife and I were very very pleased to visit this beautiful resort. Abo Nawas definitely was the perfect conclusion to our month-long trip in Egypt. Initially we cam to visit a Mausoleum of a Sufi Saint in a neighboring village, and picked a random resort with our travel agent. I am so freaking blown away by the beauty and serenity of this place. I have never wrote a review before but this place really inspired me to!

   The decor is breath taking, the intricate brickwork domes cover every building of the resort like a beautiful seashells against the beach. Oh my God the Beach! It is fantastic! The pier leads directly to a snorkeling spot above a beautiful reef full of life, the coral reef is about 4-6 meters underneath the spot, so even if you don't want to get wet you can still enjoy the majesty the reef.

   The rooms were beautiful, with a beautiful painted brick dome, examining it for long can lull any one to sleep xD. The rooms are nice and spacious yet the decor and windows give the warm feel of a rustic Nubian adobe villa. Each room has a balcony/patio facing one of the pools, so parents fear not, you can relax with a cup of coffee and still watch the lil' monkeys play.

   The Resort includes 3 wonderful buffet meals (just got out of breakfast now). Every seating area is outfitted with a Full-Service Bar that is all-you-can-drink! They even have an À la carte Resteraunt in the middle of the sea at the end of the pier near the coral reef i mentioned earlier. Service is wonderful, the staff pamper you like no-where-else, also I am yet to run into a staff member who does not speak English+Italian+Arabic! I even met a staff member who fluently spoke English+Arabic+French+Italian+Polish+Czech!

   The resort hosts multiple daily activities like Beach Bowling, Frisbee, Volleyball, Oriental Nights, Belly Dancers, and much more! It is totally suitable for all ages young and old, I had a busted ankle shortly before arriving trip and still managed to participate in the activities, (special thanks to Enrico, Fedrika, and Lorenzo the program animators who conducted these activities)

   All in all a beautiful resort it is truly a Gem of Egypt. Anyone going to Egypt should definitely budget at least 4 days of their trip to Abo Nawas, the cost is super competitive for the services and amenities and a flight from Cairo isn't too expensive.

   I recommend Going to Cairo five days to a week to see the sites, taking the over-night sleeping-train to Luxor, take a 4 day site-seeing cruise to Aswan. Drive East with a tour to Abo Nawas in the City Marsa Alam and spend a week to truly relax after a long trip of sight-seeing before you go home.
That is the route we took, and we enjoyed the hell out of it! definitely doing this again next year! ;)

I visited this hotel with my family was very nice weather and beach very good for snorkling and diving also beach is sandy and service and food quality very good and allot of varitey,animation very good .rooms very clean.staff very good.

The beach, the pool and the staff were more than perfect.

The rooms were good and nice to spend the night in. 

The animation team did an amazing job entertaining the guests at the hotel and made sure everyone was comfortable and happy.

I’m in this hotel now. so, meals are poor unfortunately, but there are some tasty things. if you like variety in food-you shouldn’t come here. 
Rooms-old, it is ok for Egypt,but I have really old room and SUPER DIRTY. towels smell so bad! i’ve left a money for cleaner, i thought he could change towels and bed, but no…
really dirty shower…
and i have to wear shoes in room,because floor is extremely dirty. 
bed is dirty and UNCOMFORTABLE. Have a problem with my back after 1 night :(
Air conditioning-works in one mode and noisy. 
Pool is dirty too by the way.

I think I picked up the wrong hotel for me and my wife, very old buildings , this hotel is for old people , so small restaurant, poor nightlife really nothing to do in this hotel just eat beach sleep !! Wrong choice .
