Super clean and friendly place. The room is a sheer joy. Nice yellow paint with a very comfortable bed and plenty of furniture.  I stayed here 15 days and really look forward to going back. Furthermore the kitchen and rooftop views are nirvana.

Family run business with the Good Café next door, run by the son.  
Comfortable and clean room with en suite bathroom with hot/cold running water. Very good selection of complimentary breakfast. Great view from the roof top terrace. Located central but quiet. Laundry service available. Very nice people.  Would stay again. 
Tip: get a massage next door at "Osaka" (ask for Jessica)

Location is perfect, not too close to the loudly zone but within a few minutes walk. Close to everything really (hotsprings, tour offices, restaurants, center of town, etc, etc) The family that runs the hostal are very professional and make you feel relaxed and welcomed. Place is very clean and safe. We were fortunate to have a view of the waterfall from our room. Delicious breakfast.

Stayed for a couple nights and it was great.  At a minimum, I need a hot shower, firm bed & cleanliness.  Got it all.  Even better: the patio/balcony (3rd floor) was quiet & overlooked the waterfall (close enough to HEAR it in AM & PM); even in the rain, we sat under the roof eaves & enjoyed it.  I had brought earplugs (after all, a city in Ecuador is bound to have dogs, trucks...), but I never needed them.  

We had breakfast included-- a simple continental breakfast that was filling & delicious (many a la carte options to add too).  The restaurant below was fantastic & very reasonably priced.  The owners were SO ATTENTIVE!!  A couple questions arose (minor) and all was attended to quickly & so helpfully.  I would *easily* stay again.

Typical Ecuadorian hospitality. We booked one night but stayed for four. The hotel is a minute from shops, restaurants and markets and only a 5-minute walk from the public hot spring near the waterfall, which is visible in its full glory from our room overlooking the front street.  Yes, there is street noise, but that is the trade off for the view and it gets quieter after 10:00pm (acceptable trade off in our opinion. There is a private terrace up on the top floor and a kitchenette available for guests use.    The place is family run and run very well, especially the restaurant. Breakfast was included and was without any doubt the BEST  breakfast we've had in Ecuador so far, (included or otherwise). Beds are pretty comfortable, though starting to show their age, lots of hot water and a great shower. Free WiFi throughout the property. No special skills required to flush the toilet. Maid service super efficient and fast!  The restaurant (called The Good Cafe) is very popular with the backpackers hostel across the street and guests from other hotels for a very good reason. The food is delicious (I hugged the cook) it is very reasonably priced, the service is great and friendly. Coffee is freshly ground and a large Americano is only $1.00 Loved this place, will recommend it to our friends and other travellers.

Great place ... and QUIET!

Family run. Centrally located, clean, comfortable with amazing restaurant.

Absolutely perfect

Pros: Awesome breakfast downstairs, fairly large room, decent sized bed, price was pretty good value, daily housekeeping kept the place quite clean, laundry service was good, wifi was available throughout. Location was good and central.

Cons: rooms was on street and there was quite a lot of noise that Could be heard, bathroom was tiny and shower flooded everytime it was used, there is a kitchen but it was basically unusable for proper cooking.
