Terraza Suites

I stayed here with my fellow Peace Corps Volunteers for a few days during a conference. It was cheap and thus a little chilly, but the blankets were thick and warm and the staff even brought a space heater for some of our group who had been living on the coast (and were thus freezing). The staff was willing to come in early and cook breakfast for us before we all had to leave for the conference. The showers were a bit touch-and-go, it took a bit of jiggling to get something other than boiling hot or freezing cold, but it was worth it because the pressure was great! There is a rooftop terrace and most rooms have more than 3 beds, since it's a hostel designed for budget travel groups. Close to major bus lines and Rio Coca, a major bus station, is only a 1/2 mile away. Taxis could be found around Rio Coca as well as on Rio Amazonas with ease, but the staff was also happy to help you by calling one if necessary. Very secure locks and there is always a staff member asleep by the front desk if you need to buzz to be let in during the wee hours. I found the staff to be the biggest asset to this place, they were constantly checking in with us to be sure we were happy.
