Hotel Chunchi Imperial

If you are looking for a great place to stop on a road trip between northern and southern Ecuador, look no further. Chunchi is a quiet little town that offers a handful of mom and pop restaurants and a really excellent hotel.I have often contended the two most important things a hotel can I offer are a comfortable bed and a good shower. The Hotel Chunchi Imperial rates excellent on both counts— as good as many high-end hotels in the US or Europe (we booked the higher end room for about six dollars more). Add to the bed and shower, secure parking for our vehicle, a very friendly staff, and an outstanding breakfast included with the room fee.Our breakfast came with fresh baked rolls, ham and cheese, fresh fruit, just-squeezed juice, coffee, and perfectly cooked eggs.
