I loved this place. The soft music from the restaurant was so soothing I left my window open just to hear it.  The breakfast omelette was as light and fluffy as any I have ever eaten.  The manager (owner?) was friendly, helpful and delightfully French.  Clean, quiet, spacious rooms and an enchanting garden.  

My first night in Banos I stayed in a hotel in the center for the same price. It was super loud throughout the night and morning, I didn't get a wink of sleep. The next morning I wandered around looking for a new place to stay and was lucky enough to find this place. The staff were super sweet and accommodating, the room and private bath were large and exceptionally clean, the bed was the most comfortable I've had so far in Ecuador, the grounds are gorgeous, and the wifi worked great! Not to mention it has a much more peaceful atmosphere than most of the other hotels and hostels in Banos. I stayed five nights and my last night there I ate the onion soup and a crepe with vanilla ice cream and blackberries. Both were incredibly delicious!! I highly recommend this hotel and restaurant!

When I booked Hotel Mariane, I knew that it was on the back street of Banos. I booked this hotel as I wanted to get away from city noise. I followed Clavillazo's advise and asked for a room on the 3rd floor. It was a great suggestion! Our room was clean, we had hot water, the beds were comfortable and the view was great. Thank heaven for the hired help because the owner speaks only French. I am bilingual English/Spanish so trying to check in and pay for our room was very difficult due to the communication barrier.

This is a comfortable, friendly spot well-situated in Baños. The staff is accommodating, the rooms are simple and clean, if not a bit out of date. The grounds are quite pleasant, full of local flowers and birds. If you find the prices here competitive, ask for a room on the third floor so you you can take in the views from a hammock. I'm just not so sure the prices reflect the value. It's not a big deal, but this is the only place we found in Ecuador that charges for breakfast. And the breakfast wasn't exactly exciting. The restaurant seemed quaint, but quite overpriced compared to other options in town.
They honored a few special requests I had made in advance, but I had requested a private room with a view of the amazing scenery in Baños. When we arrived we were given a room on the bottom floor, with a lot of traffic, including a woman who mistakenly walked into our room, and a group of loud drunks who tried to find their room at 4 a.m.
Ultimately, we moved to the third floor and enjoyed the quiet and the beautiful views.
Next time I'm in Baños, I will look at other options before paying the steep rates here.

Such a nice stay!

Good, but short of great

They just made a really good photos...so don't expect to see that good rooms in real life.

And the small is terrible in the rooms :( so you can't stay there for along time.

Breakfast isn't included in the price..even if lady on the phone gonna tell you that it's included in the price.

so it's way too expensive for that kind of place!
