If you're looking for serenity and the beautiful sound of the ocean, just book it. My only issue was the cats finding their way into the unit and shredding the garbage up and maybe a few seconds of power outages depending on the weather. Other than that everything else is good. The food is very good as well. Security is on point, staff is always willing to assist with any issues.
I will definitely be visiting here again because it's worth it. 

We visited Vista Mare recently - and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anybody looking for a chill, private vacation in the Dominican Republic! Samana is a nice chill spot to begin with, which was our alluring factor over some of the more "touristy" destinations such as Puerto Plata or Punta Cana. What we LOVED about Vista Mare was its privacy (two private beaches on property, two swimming pools...we felt like we had the whole island to ourselves at times) and the service of the staff! Freddy (the Resident Manager) took such good care of us and met with us personally every day to ensure that all our needs were met. We were traveling with our toddler - so getting up to the restaurant and back was a trek on foot...but Freddy and his team made sure that we had pick-ups and drop offs to and from our room on demand! The reception gave us their WhatsApp details, and were SUPER responsive. The apartment was big and spacious - and the unobstructed BEAUTIFUL ocean views truly lived up to its name.  Overall - this place truly hit the spot and gave us what we were looking for (a nice, relaxing and private holiday). Thank you to Freddy and his team for their warmth, hospitality and care! 100% recommend. 

The rooms were spectacular and the views from our room were amazing and unreal. The pools were amazing with fantastic views and the restaurant had great food. The staff were super friendly. We did not want to leave.  We will be back for a longer visit. 

This place is a hidden gem! We stayed 3 nights in this location and we all had a really hard time leaving.
We are already planing our return trip. We stayed in building 11 with an incredible view. The staff always went beyond to make my family feel welcomed. We loved the pool and restaurant.  The food was great and the location in Samana was perfect. It is an under 30 min drive to La Playita and Playa Rincon, which are some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I highly recommend this place because of the staff, the view, the food, and the location. 

Amazing customer service, location private beach. We are from London and stayed here for  a week and were very well looked after. The manager Albereto is a thorough gentleman, he welcomed us very warmly and was very polite and accommodating. The staff at the restaurant Edwin and Hosavica were also very friendly and helpful and provided excellent customer service. We recommend this place to those looking to stay or just wanting to visit the restaurant. Our apartment was Building 6, apartment 202 and this was in very good condition. Wifi, hot water, netflix on TV and a stunning view of the sea. The private beach is also very nice. Security was top notch. Guards at the gate and on the beach. We felt super secure

Definitely worth your money. Beautiful private beaches. Gated property with friendly staff. Restaurant and bar have great food at fair prices. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. I can’t wait to stay again

Excellent service, staff is very polite, friendly  and have good vibes! Great experience, food tates really good, like homemade traditional and organic food, juices are all natural with real fruit tates!! Love it, will come back for sure!! 100 % recommended! The area is close with security on the door 24/7!!

Booked my 3rd stay here as part of a holiday, was imeadtly met with great service from both Telvis and Antonio. The facilities are well kept and clean. Best part is the calm here as its very peaceful.

Very beautifull appartment with seaview.  wake up every day with a beautiful view. we have been helped very well during our stay by our host Antonio.

The Pools and the private beaches are nice and  the place is secured 24/7.

Where beauty meets Peace 

Awesome views, Incredible service, 2 great beaches and pools. Definitely recommended stay. House could use a bit of maintenance, there are some exposed wires and floor is uneven. Kitchen also missing some equipements. But all in all, it's a great location for any holiday. The views are definitely worth it.

Great views and Service

In general, everything was as expected. The place is very heavenly and safe. However, during our stay we did not have hot water in the bathrooms nor was the flow of water adequate. From the first day this was discussed with the administration but it was not possible for them to resolve the problem. For the rest everything was very good.

however, some furniture needed to be changed, lamp was broken , telly as well
Service not really attentive to customers, we ordered drinks at the pool and waited 20 minutes, we never got our drinks and left...

Friendly staff, beautiful grounds, good wifi, clean modern room, very strong air-conditioning, private beach, great pool.

However, this hotel has only one expensive restaurant and no supermarket nearby. Other food options are far far away in Samana (about 20 min drive). 
Another point to mention is the very steep road to the beach which will make you think twice before you go there.
