LTI Beach Resort Punta Cana Golf & Spa Hotel

We never heard of this hotel before and took a chance.

They have non smoking areas which is great. Food was great nothing fancy. No swim up bar but not a issue for us. I have travel all over Mexico D.R and Cuba i would say this hotel is a 3.5 to 4 star. Nice beach and clean. They have vendors around but back off once you say no thanks you.

This resort met all of our needs. Great beach with WIFI access. Pool was awesome and the games at the pool were fun. Food was good and the excursions were fun. We did the dune buggies. We met amazing guests and made some new friends. We love visiting Punta Cana.

Very clean resort... best food ever!!!... water is drinkable and drinks are very good... definitely got the bang for the buck.   The beach is long but not deep but that’s what I liked...definitely would recommend... we stayed in building 4 but 3 would have been fine.  We had 4 couple traveling with us and one of the couples upgraded to building 5 which is beach front but all of us enjoy all our rooms and housekeeping was great. It seemed very family friendly and too many kids for my taste.  Nightlife is dull and by 1030 very quite.  Don’t waste your money in casino (a big rip off). All in all a good safe resort but you must stay on resort (no nearby shops off beach) some shop on beach are good but be ready to haggle over pricing which is their tradition.

We just returned from 2 weeks (Jan.25 to Feb.8) at The VIK.  This was our second visit and we will be returning for a third time next year.  We are retired, in our early 60's and like this resort for many reasons, the small size and how easy it is to navigate. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, from the managers to the garden staff.  The grounds are kept in immaculate condition.  The food is average to good, you will not do hungry.  There is no need to make reservations at the restaurants but the Italian and the Seafood require men to wear long pants, the Mexican and the buffet do not.  I think that every Friday you can make reservations at the Steakhouse, this is at The Cayena time share, there is a small charge of about $12.00 each..it is worth it. 
Check in was fast and easy.  Some people have complained about the front desk staff being rude, we have not experience this either time we were there.  Possibly, some people may get back what they put out.  Relax, you are on vacation.
The rooms are clean and comfortable.  Ours was an ocean front with a step down sitting area.  The maids do a great job, a little tip will be greatly appreciated.
The pool is divided by a bridge, the section closest to the beach is were all the activities are, so if you want it to be a little quieter, I would recommend the pool section closest to the lobby.  Also the beach side has the kids section, a small shallow pool.
The lobby is a gathering place in the evening because this is the only place were you can access the wifi.  It can get crowded at times and chairs can be hard to find.  There is NO smoking in the lobby, but a small section, with tables and chairs, just outside the lobby has been designated a smoking area.  The lobby has a small bar and self serve coffee, tea and hot chocolate machines.
The beach is beautiful and long.  During high tide it is not very wide and sometimes a bit  of seaweed is let behind when the tide goes out.  They try to clean it daily.  We travel a lot and have seen nicer beaches, but, for the price you pay for Punta Cana-da, you can't go wrong.
Go with an open mind, relax and have a good time.  This resort may not be perfect, but we have been to many 5 Star resorts that are not perfect.  Many resorts have issues, but for the price, dollar for dollar, this place is worth every penny.  The staff here make you feel very welcome, another reason we will be returning.

25 mins from airport. bring US$ better than CDN. 
Friendly staff at desk and around resort. If you want a room that is central to resort, building 3 is perfect ( near pool and ocean). 
Beach is beautiful and you can walk for awhile.
Room is simple but clean. Note no elevators..
Rental of safety box US 2$ day.
WIFI free but only accessible in lobby.
Resort well maintained.
Buffet was good. Enough variety to satisfy. Restaurant a la carte was good as well and no reservation required in advance!
Night entertainment not really energetic. Its really a quite resort to chill.
Alot of Eastern Europeans, French Cdns, Russians,  nice crowd.
Temperature was great all week 29-32c day and 24c night.
Vendors on sight are real salesmen and just say no and they will leave you alone.
Souvenir boutiques on beach ( left side after ocean blue hotel). prices ok just negotiate.
Worth the money for the quality.

NICE STAY. SIMPLE, CLEAN AND RELAXING.

Been at this resort  the 2 weeks before Christmas 2017. It was a good vacation overall.   I will do a little list with pros and cons.  For cons:
- check in way to slow.
- every step you take is someone trying to sell you something. 
-smoking permitted everywhere. 
- room safe charge.  Really? 
- excursion bought from poolside vendors was not as described.  The guide speaks very little English , bad attitude. 
- exchange rates are ridiculous for cad.
For positives:

- the buffet restaurant is outstanding.  Find something to eat every time. We did not try the a la carte.  Didn't need to.
- the beach is long and well kept.  
- entertainment was pretty good most nights. 
- room maids did a really good job.
-bartenders mostly friendly.  Lobby bar bartender really good.
Overall a good vacation but room for improvement.  Not a English friendly location though.  A lot of french canadians,  russians and germans.

Nice place and the most enjoyable people and hotel staff you cand find. Beautiul beach but it got a little “dirty” with all that sea plants at the end of our honeymoon and we couldn’t enjoy our last 3days there, but we had fun at the pool. Small improvements can be done such as more modern facilities, tv and furniture.

We enjoyed our trip, but this is definitely not a four-star resort. It’s is, however, a good place for families looking for a reasonably priced vacation. 

If you happen to travel over Christmas, I highly recommend the Xmas meal at the buffet! It was the best turkey dinner I’ve ever had!

Nice stay, but average hotel

We arrived on February 3rd.  We are at the front desk and asked about an in room safe and were told;  "yes .. there is a safe".  Ok.. SO we get to our room and find what would appear to be a broken safe.  There is no lock and we are unable to open it as it has no handle on it.  Anyway.. we call to get service for this.  A gentalman shows and is hammering on it to get this fixed (really not sure what that was supposed to do).  Approx. 1 hour later, this same gentalman has someone on his cell phone that would like to speak with me.  Turns out.... the front desk was supposed to give us the lock and key for the safe.  So.. it really was not broken.  OK.. the next day, I asked front desk for wash clothes for our restroom.. they did not understand.  They thought I wanted something to do with clocks.  I guess my thing is, it is a beautiful resort however... they really do not understand english at all.  I think it would benefit the resort as a whole to educate the employees to better service the customers.  Really hard to get excellent service when there is a language barrier.  ALSO - too many vendors to try to avoid.  We were badgered each and every day to purchase something (time share, jewelry, ect).  They really need to do something about that.  They are EVERYWHERE.  We also had an excursion scheduled and they called that morning and cancelled.  No reason given.  They gave us grief when we asked for our deposit back.  They kept insisting to re-book this excursion.  They even called us and woke us up the next morning to say they are waiting for us.  We never re-booked.  Finally, we did receive our deposit but had to go to guest services to help us get our deposit back (time of vacation wasted trying to get deposit back).  And the excursion was purchased onsite.  I guess that is my negative.  

The resort was always kept up.  The rooms cleaned daily and the food in all restaurants delicious.  This is a beautiful, well maintained resort.  All of the staff are very friendly and seem to try their best to satisfy.  We went on a snorkling excursion and the crew fabulous.  They really made the excursion fun and memorable.  Weather just beautiful every day.

Some negative and positive comments

I stayed at this resort from Feb 6-13 2018. Santos at the check in was awesome and went out of his way to make sure you where happy with your room and building! Our room was better then I expected and we had lots of hot water! building 1 room 1220 family suite. next to the lobby which I didn't mind! Carlos the Buffet Supervisor was also fantastic along with plenty of different food to eat, You need to get your own drinks at the buffet which I didn't mind at all! endless beer and wine and pop and water!. we went to the Italian one night but we didn't enjoy it as I am Italian, but other people really enjoyed it. we ate mostly at the buffet and always had lots to choose from and very flavorful, great job Carlos and your team! One thing that was missing was seafood like shrimp and mussels and claims, lobster! if you paid extra you could have a lobster or t-bone one night but way to much money! Bathrooms around the resort where always clean and always had toilet paper not like Cuba! No swim up bar at the pool but there were 2 bars close by! We went on a boogie excursion using Adventure Land which is right at the resort and we where told we would get a new 4 person machine and when we got there it was old and they hot wired it and it had no breaks! do not use the guys next to the pool ask your Rep!
I think this Resort company should get ride of these guys selling trips next to the pool and you could book at the beach or your travel Rep! 
another thing this resort should do is stop have people harass you about time share(program)! the VIP section next door is nothing to right home about! My family suite was nicer than the room I saw at the VIP! This resort had No activities for my kids which are 11 and 13! they where bored to say the least! the Beach party on our last night was so windy that the sand was flying in our eyes so we left! It was very windy all week and we only enjoyed the beach 1 day the other 6 days where at the pool!.i meet lots of nice people and some rude people but you get that every where! lots of Russian people there the week I was even learned a few Russian words from some kids!.
all in all good week away for the money I paid but don't think I would return unless I got a great deal!
You had to pay $14 american dollars for the safe for a week! the resort should include this!
