The location is quiet, but the city and the beach are easy to reach. We enjoyed spending time in the tropical garden and the Pool. We used the fully equipped kitchen to cook lunch and dinner, or we dined at the Beach. The place is so well constructed for ventilation that we did not even need to turn on the air conditioner often. I especially liked the tips of our hostess, regarding shopping and activities to do around Puerto Plata. You will not need a rental car at this location since there is a Taxi stand, restaurants and a supermarket near by. Driving in Dominican traffic takes some time to get used to. If using the Taxis, negotiate the price before hand, and have enough change to pay the exact amount in pesos.
