Only stayed 2 nights but both were fantastic. Very charming room nr.12 with own terrace, & sea view. Well worth the extra expense.
We ate both evenings at the hotel and were very pleased with the food and service.
Brakefast platter was also well worth the extra charge.

Very quiet area , away from everything so a car or bike is needed.
If clear , then the sunsetting over the West of Denmark is spectacular.

A lovely quiet hotel in a secluded place overlooking fields and the sea. We usually go on a cruise at this time of year but that was out if the question this year with Coranavirus, so we decided to find a very quiet place that also felt special. This place was perfect. We booked a suite as we like to have space to relax. The suit was superbly decorated in a very cosy sort of way. 
We only had one meal in the restaurant as we like to try out lots if places on holiday. The food was beautiful as well as fresh, local and tasty. The wine selected for us was a perfect match. 
We would definitely go again.

Everybody of our team was cheering in exultation when we arrived at Ilse Made. I have seen various accommodations on the island; this is the best. What a great spot, what a beautifully designed hotel, what an exquisite cuisine based on local, honest food... this is paradise on the sustainable island that in itself is a treat already.
Kasper, Thomas, Joe, Christian and the breakfast lady are a team that makes you feel very welcome and help with anything needed.
There is a pebbled beach a few hundred metres from the hotel, reachable along the meadows where highlander cows graze. Great for a refreshing swim or romantic bonfire.
I will certainly come back to this fabulous place!

This fantastic spot on the outstanding Island on the West coast of Denmark, presents the highest quality of service You can imagine. Amazing food and hospitality and terrific views with the most spectacular sunset you might have ever seen. The food and wine is outstanding and the surroundings is to die for. I Will definetely come back and I can highly recommend this place to everyone:)

I have visited Ilse Made every summer for the past 5 years and absolutely love it. It's the ideal get away with beautiful surroundings and a wonderful kitchen. Chef Kasper is creating fantastic dishes with the the best ingredients from Samsø

Room was full of light and very clean.  Restaurant food was excellent and really fresh.
I need to visit here again.  If you book room from this Hotel choose room with sea view. Perfect place to go if you need to relax and eat pure food.

On the Sunday evening we'd booked a table at the Badehotel, we were in luck! The sun was high in the sky and it was warm enough to sit outside on the terrace. We admired the cattle in the field towards the sea and settled in to enjoy two courses. The main dish was fish with Samsø potatoes and veggies, including sprigs of fennel. It was nicely cooked and tasty. Dessert was buttermilk with strawberries. It was also very good. A glass of white went down well. Noting that some reviewers have been dissatisfied by the prices and the service, I would point out that both were ok. It wasn't cheap, but good quality and the girl who served us was all smiles... I can't comment on the accommodation.

Avoid Room 9 on the ground floor. Unable to secure room because the window lock did not function. Bathroom tiles painted black and pieces of paint floated around when showering and, therefore, a questionmark about cleanliness of bathroom floor. This is a small oblong bedroom and furnishing needs improving to cater to comfort of guests. Access to Room 9 is outside of the main hotel building. 
Good quality beds, bedding and towels. Our August 2015 package included room, breakfast and two course gourmet dinners. Food and service was excellent, and dinner was served on terrace with wonderful sea view and sunset.
