Good hotel for one night

Good budget housing, good facilities. Only some hair were on the mattress (looked like from a pet, very strange). Quite far from town centre.

Aarhus Hostel has a lot of rooms and the once i saw is in a fine condition and clean. There is a large kitchen area where you can prepare food and eat as a group. The problem we experianced is that there are several visitors from eastern europe that drink to much and get sick in public. Not a good thing for children to see. We also heard a lot of noice from these visitors in the night and it was hard to fall a sleep as they kept us awake. When making management aware of the situation and referencing to their own rules which was not respected there was no consequences and we had to live with the problem. I would never go here again and will warn anybody going to this area to avoid this location.

Warning - not for anybody traveling with children

This place blew me away. No luxury rooms, just a bed, a desk and a bathroom and that's why you don't pay much. 
But the atmosphere in this place, really blew me away.
I did stay during the festival, and I guess that late night snacks and a huge brunch buffet, are not standard things. I spend 250+ nights in hotels around the world every year, but have never been welcomed like this before. E-mail with every detail and laid back friendly people all around. This felt more like a family visit than a hotel. I'm sure i will be back again next year.

A positive surprise

Negative things, the staff service is limited to 2 hours a day from 6pm to 8pm outside of this time you can't contact anyone, even by sending an email they reply the next day.

Do it yourself because we don't.

Me and my partner spent 1,5 years in one of the apartments of Aarhus Hostel. I can say that the service is excellent, the prices are reasonable and the location is geat. Whenever we had problem (eg. broken household gadgets, internet issues...) the staff was ready to fix it. Moreover it was a surprise when they were also extremely helpful explaining us the Danish system/administartion. I can highly recommend staying in Aarhus hostel either just for a few days or for a longer period. Special thanks to two really nice people there, Maria and Emilian.

A really pleasurable place to stay just on the edge of Aarhus

We were a group of 40 people of mixed ages (children and adults) and stayed for six nights.   MIchael and Maria were very helpful, they went out of their way to meet all our intricate room allocation requirements and organising catering for us.  They even gave us exclusive use of one of the living areas for the time we were there.  The grounds outside are perfect for children to let off steam and the local bus service into Aarhus provided easy access to the city centre.

Maria went out of her way to help us when one of the group needed hospital treatment, and even came in on her day off to make sure our departure went smoothly.  She is a star! 

If you are looking for reasonably priced, clean, basic accommodation and don't mind a 20 minute journey to Aarhus, then this could be the place for you.

Great place for a large group to stay

Hostel with self service. Have had several nice stays here. 
It's clean and has good beds and decent size rooms. 
They have great accommodations for small conferences or workshops.
The food was really good and the couple who owns the place are friendly. 
It is a bit outside of Aarhus centre, around 30 min by bus.
