This hotel faces a small marina and cozy surroundings. The room (102) was spacous, simple and functionel. The view from the balcony was fantastic. The wifi was good. A big bathroom with a lot of hot water in the shower. The location is 5 minutes by car from the center of Århus. What's not to like.

Well-located next to Marselis marina. The car outside the room. Restaurants nearby. Walking distance to the center. Bright room for small money. Simple breakfast and adequate. We will be back!
Clean and tidy in the room and on the toilet and in the bathroom.
1,9 km til Banegårdspladsen.
2.5 km to Aros Art Museum.

Staying at the BB Hotel-Aarhus was an interesting experience as I've never used a self-catering hotel before.  I booked via Booking.com and was provided with a door code for the entry door as well as the room door. The room (#107) was extremely small. It appeared it was a single room into which two beds were placed. It was impossible for two people to dress at the same time. Due to a change in plans we needed to stay in Aarhus an extra day. When I notified the hotel via Booking.com, that I needed to extend our stay, I was advised that Rm 107 was not available but 102 was. I was also advised that I could reserve the extra day using the computer on site and save 100 Danish Crowns.  Rm 102 is twice the size of Rm 107 and cost us less than the very small Rm 107, booked via Booking.com.  One thing that was not appealing was that only two small bath towels were provided. No hand towel or mat to step onto out of the shower. Breakfast was simple with boiled eggs, cold meats & cheese, yogurt, assorted breads & rolls - but adequate. There are at least three restaurants on marina property - all very nice (though one was too pricey for us). The number 100 bus, not too far from the hotel, was helpful to take us into Aarhus. I would stay at this hotel again (in Rm 102).

This is a no-service hotel with a breakfast room. 
Only very little variety but for the price ok. 

The place seems tidy but our shower could need some love and tender. Not very nice or clean for that sake
Same goes for the air vents - all with mold and/or dust. 

The location is great with nice restaurants just next to. 
You easily reach center of Aarhus by foot. 
A cab will cost you 12 euro

The beds are comfortable 

Make sure NOT to get a room located close to the breakfast kitchen unless you enjoy getting wakened up by noise from 6.30 am

The air vents are very noisy too and start automatically in the morning and run into the evening

We came back very late on Saturday where the vents were off. 
A terrible smell of sewer were recognizable in both kitchen and rooms



As other reviewers have said the concept of a code to get in to the building and to your room was new to us. It was a bit soulless with a lack of personal contact but actually was quite efficient. We arrived on a lovely Sunday afternoon and the marina area was quite busy. We were a little unsure about the parking arrangements and had to ring the number provided to clarify. There are some dedicated spaces for the hotel right outside the building but whilst these were often full, there was additional unlabelled parking but we had to give our registration number. The hotel is in a great location with several restaurants in walking distance and quite pleasant to wander around the marina. Quite a lengthy stroll to get into the city centre. Our room was spacious and bright with a small balcony. I quite liked the online booking system whereby you could choose your room with view/balcony etc. Breakfast was very simple - juice, cereal, bread, croissants. However there was free tea & coffee in the lobby at all times, along with glasses, crockery & cutlery to borrow.

Simple but Adequate

It is a budget hotel, with small rooms but very clean with sightseeing towards harbor( hafen). Unfortunately, very basic breakfast with one kind of cheese, no egg, no wurst( sausages). Unfortunately, there is no separate place for breakfast, they put tables in the corridor in front of rooms number 001,2,3. The staffs make lot of noise from 6:00 in the morning to prepare breakfast!!! Actually, we could not sleep well.

Okay.. let’s start with the few good things this place has to offer: An okay view, breakfast is sufficient and the staff in general are very helpful. 

But otherwise, me and my boyfriend would not recommend staying here at all. I’m pretty sure that one of the hostels, that are way closer to the city, are cheaper and have better beds and non-smelling water. 
Basically, I have never slept this bad EVER! My back is hurting so much, that I can’t sleep through the night (and I’m used to sleeping in a firm bed). 
Taking a shower is usually a good way to either start or end the day, but remember not to breath through your nose.. the water smells like rotten eggs and the smells does not leave... 
Our room door has some difficulties opening. Instead we got a key for the door, so we could get in and out. We haven’t tried.. but we did wonder if this key works to all the rooms.. oh well, hope not. 
Last, but no least, both of the rooms we stayed in (yeah, had to change rooms during the stay) had a tv. Not a fancy tv, but a tv. The first tv in room 001 had the most basic channels, but it kept on restarting after every 5 minutes of watching.. when moving to room 003 (due to our booking being handled this way?) we thought “oh well, the tv can’t be worse”. Well.. it can! This tv only has one channel.. and it doesn’t work, so we tried connecting the tv to the internet and login on Netflix and it worked! Yay! I know you shouldn’t watch tv all day in a hotel room, when your on holiday, but just for five minutes, while your significant other is in the shower, is okay. 
Either way, when we came back in the evening, we could watch anything on the tv and login out of my Netflix account is not happening, because the tv wouldn’t connect to the WiFi... 

I try not to be so negative in general, but I’m up at 4:25, not being able to sleep, because this bed is killing me.. and I’m the only one able to drive us home. Yay......

Would not stay again

First of all positive is the view out of the room. My room was not cleaned. Black hairs lay in the bathroom. The toilet seat was broken and overall some items were very old and they were not been fixed for several years. I give one star more because of the quick service from BB. I cannot recommend this place. If they cleaned and check everything for a new guest it would be better
