Lesni Dum

We were in room 2 at the top of the hotel, which is huge and airy. We were made to feel very welcome and were even given a kettle and two huge cups to cater for our very English tea habit. We visited in May, so not during the skiing season, but the walks from the hotel are nothing short of stunning. We loved walking up the mountain path next to the stream, which took us past waterfalls and beautiful scenery. The village square is fascinating and was filled with people enjoying sitting in the sun and sipping drinks from the bars. We expected the usual disappointing heavy mineral tang to the spring water, which is rumoured to have medicinal properties, but it was clean and delicious. I know I should drink water, but I prefer gin and tonic, however, this would definitely encourage me to make the occasional healthier choice! :-). The bed was incredibly comfortable and we slept soundly and woke to a stunning view of the mountains. Breakfast was lovely - exquisite scrambled eggs, done just the way I like them - just set, not cooked to an inch of their life. The restaurant was relaxed and unhurried. We are already planning our next visit!
